Hi all new poster here & first one - HELLO!

Thought I'd bump a new thread here about that Largest Living Things album - that never made it out the gate - there is loads of stuff recorded, but what is out there? - after a bit of research I've found this lot:

THUMBS, CROOKED FENCE, TRAIN, MOFO, INVOLVED - THUMBS EP (EP 1)

HELLBENT, ALREADY BEEN DONE, YOU DID IT ALL, TURN OUT THE NIGHT, FRAGILE MISSILE, FREE - HELLBENT EP (EP2)

MY TIME IS NOW (Great rack this very similar to Skin Feeling) - OTHER ENZ CD

TREMELO ON - I LIKE IT RARE 2 (Fan Club fundraiser)

RAINY DAY WOMEN #12 & 35" (Love this cover!) - Bob Dylan song - CLIPS (Fan Club DVD)

GETTAWAY, GOD'S MONEY, HEADLESS CHOOK, HELLWOOD, HOME, SEX, SUNNY WATER, TRAMPOLINE, YOU SHOULD OF BEEN DOING IT, HESSIE'S SHED, HESSIE'S SHED THEME, HIGH ABOVE THE FARM, INTRO RAYMOND THEME, LONG TIME AGO, LOVE POEM FOR NURSE INGRID, MICK MOLLOY SHOW, MICK MOLLOY SHOW THEME, SONG OF INDIA,
ST KILDA HIGH RISE, STORY OF LUKE

As well as these covers - I LOVE WOMEN - Lou Reed song, MONEY - The Beatles song & SORROW - David Bowie song

What else is out there - over to you Gryphon
Surely enough for a CD - Who's up for this? - Let's generate some interest and get Paulo in the CD racks or at least available for download.
A fitting epitaph for Paul Hester, the man and his music.

Am bumping this topic up now
Those first two Largest Living Things EP's sold out like - dead fast! Could never quite figure why we never got an album, they started well recording with a few live gigs then strangely seemed to meander. There were still a few live gigs and the TV shows Hessie's Shed then Molloy - then nothing. Is anybody interested in a (an albeit postumous) Largest Living Things CD or is it just me? Frowner I for one who like to hear more of Paul's music - I for one love it! Remember this was the chap that wrote Italian Plastic, Skin Feeling & This Is Massive! - this is the way I want to remember him.

I've got no idea how much more LLT stuff is out there but I have to say that I really enjoy the first 2 LLT EP's. The live songs are just great and I only wish that I'd gone to see them back in the day...

It would be fantastic if there was a LLT album but I guess that decision is left up to Kevin and the rest of the band and of course, Paul's family.

Time will tell I guess. Let's keep our fingers crossed.

Well you've done a lot better than me all i have is the Other Enz CD (My Time Is Now) & the stuff through the Fan-club Tremelo On (Rare #2) & Rainy Day Women (Everybody Must Get Stoned) on DVD - God bless Peter Green but it's not enough Frowner
I too would have loved to see them back in the day - You don't know what you've missed when it's gone Frowner
But wouldn't it be great to be listening to some music from Paul that is new to our ears. Smiler Smiler Smiler Smiler Smiler

I would LOVE to have a copy of the songs on the LLT EPs. Anyone up for a trade? Too bad they're not available in a digital format anywhere on the net (or on CD for that matter).

I agree equally depressing as I too need them - frustrating to know that there is even more out there than that - see my earlier posts. I am pushing like a bull-terrier for at least a limited release of an album. I realise some of this may be tied up estate/ royalties but I'm sure there is more interest. Pehaps people don't know THIS IS WAS PAUL'S BAND AFTER LEAVING CROWDED HOUSE.

Still quite a lot... some minor talk about a release but not sure what stage.... if I run into Kev I'll ask him again.... i think there is easily enough material for a fine double CD.

Over the years working with LLt Paul and the guys have given us quite a few bits and pieces to listen to and some of the material never released is really great.

So hopefully......

Thank you so much for that update Peter.

As time marches on, it seems so very important to acknowledge and appreciate the musical contributions made by Paul.

The thought of a double CD, even if it's just a glimmer of hope on the distant horizon....WOW! Big Grin

I can't tell you how happy that would make me and many others I'm sure. I'll definitely be keeping my fingers and everything else crossed that it becomes a reality.

Has anyone seen Kev?

KEV?

KEEEEEEV? Wink

I'd also love to hear a LLT release. I remember loving the music they performed on The Mick Molloy Show back in the day. It was very CH-esque, probably a little snappier and a bit more fun sounding. Think along the lines of Boom Crash Opera (from the tracks I heard anyway).

If a CD release isn't possible, i'm so keen for it i'd even settle for an iTunes release, this is coming from someone who resents digital distribution because of the authenticity it lacks of a physical release CD.

You've heard more than me then - I'd settle on hearing any LLT stuff on whatever format ... even on an edison cylinder Big Grin. Can't comment on Boom Crash Opera haven't heard them this side of the pond ... but I know one of Paul's best friends was in that band .. Richard Pleasance - so that would make some sense.

Any further news on the CD Peter?

I was listening to Triple M today in the car on the way home from the airport and they were playing songs from Woodface. They introduced the album with a snippet of Paul talking... it just got me thinking again... what better way to remember Paul than through the music that he loved. Fingers are still crossed that this becomes a reality.

at this stage no...I can imagine it happening further down the track and there was some talk of the Shed shows on DVD (or maybe a Best Of the Shed)... things around the estate take time, but I'm staying positive and hoping something will happen. Paul was always amazingly generous with what he gave the fans/fanclub- so it would be nice to repay that by supporting a 'real' album release.
