Dear Paul,

Thought l would drop you a line via cyber space. Crowded House are back on tour- l'm sure you know that- watching the boys backs at all times! Your warm drumming stool has been sat upon by Matt- he's doing a great job- l'm sure your cheering and jeering his style at the same time but you would have noticed the Crowdie vibe is alive and kicking.

Neil and Nick are doing the promo gigs superbly well- some moments they pause like their waiting for a jive from you to the host but your spirit is around everyone of us who connects to Crowded House in some way or form!

Mark is back with the gang too- the guy hasn't aged over the last ten years- he looks good. And most of the time he's up the front of stage strutting his stuff!

Me.... l'm a fan of yours and always will be- l'm hanging out for the boys to come to Melbourne in November and perform. Some lucky buggers from our home town went to a gig last night at the Corner Hotel. I'm sure you were like me last night- wrapped up in bed with a nice hot cup of tea! Then again would you really miss out on a Crowdie gig- you would have had the best seat in the house- upstairs and backstage ranting and raving "more fuzz people- more fuzz!"

Be proud of your boys- Neil, Nick, Mark and Matt- Crowded House has regrouped for the fans from many moons ago and now recruiting new fans of this era!

Miss you Hessie- l'm sure all fans will feel your presence at a Crowdie gig coming to them somewhere on this green planet of ours!

Be proud.... l know l am.

Dear Paul

I'll echo with the message to you via cyber~elsewhere~space.

I miss you. We all do. The new album is fantastic but something is missing. The beat is good but it lacks the Hessie touch. Maybe I shouldnt be looking for it, I didnt think I was conciously, but it is different and wishing for that 'extra beat'.

As I said I love this new album, it's fantastic, a great carry on from Together Alone, by far the best album I've heard in my life. I went out and bought it, studied the liner notes.........everything was fine until I got to those last five words and I just lost the plot.

Dear Hessie, we miss you. I believe in evolution, everything must change, but Crowded House without you is weird. Very weird. I can't help to think though you are in your universe loving that the boys carried on, after all the pain. I know you approve and love Matt, you'd have your own little lines and notations of how and who he is - I just wish I could hear them.

Never to be forgotten Paul. You break my heart now and then. Those you left behind keep your spirit alive. Recorded music keeps you alive. For that - we are thankful.

Love you, Paul.

Thanks to the three frenz forumers (so far) for understanding my concept! I'm a little saddened to read forum messages, especially in Hessie's section of what they thought of Hessie and have you read this? Or heard this said about him? I thought it was time for Hessie to hear what the good news is about his old little band Crowded House!

Thanks again soda, One Step Behind and Half-Full- you guys made me smile through tears of joy at thinking Hessie is still amongst us and he is in some way or form.

Write a letter to Hess- he's listening!

such a nice sentiment Hessie_79, you've managed to put into words what lots of frenz will be feeling, I'm sure.

Biglog, that's amazing - your cockatoo visitor.

Dear Paul, well you still have such a huge impact on us all, hard to believe it is nearly 2 years of missing your smiling cheeky face. I am very proud of my singing efforts at the last Finn Brothers concert of their tour, Neil started "Throw Your Arms Arround Me" and asked us to sing it for you. I was one of the last people singing...and i did sing my guts out, was close to the back but Tim was pointing up to me trying to see where my voice was comming from. I have never forgotten that moment when i sang it for you,it felt like you were there and hurd every note and word. It is one of the proudest moments of my life,to do the song and your memory justice.

Loving you always and forever
