Paul's middle name is definitely Newell....

I believe it was March 26th 2005 but I'm not sure who can confirm this for you. There has been a bit of confusion about but local newspapers and reports claimed that it was the Saturday after Good Friday.

The plaque sounds like a great idea. It would be great to see it when it's finished! Big Grin

I agree with Ash on both the day and Paul's middle name.
Please correct me if I'm wrong.

abc.net.au reported he was found on the night of Saturday 26th of March.

Sydney Morning Herald site said he was found Saturday afternoon 26th of March after being last seen walking the dogs on Friday night. Technically I guess he could have died on the Friday, which would be the 25th.

I'm pretty sure it was Saturday 26 March - he was found lunchtime on the Saturday and he wasn't in the vicinity earlier that same morning as quoted by a neighbour who went past walking her dogs, so it is definately 26 March, 2005.
What a sad date that remains to be...
RIP Paulo, so missed....

All that I can remember was he was found deceased in his fav Melb park on Easter Sat. 2005. Foxtel channel Max were playing an entire day tribute to him saying farewell to 'their cherished friend and colleague' on the following Tuesday and that would have been 29th March 2005 putting the date of Paul's passing around the 25th-26th March 2005. Frowner
Tribute from memory included:
FWTTW,Finn Bros Max Session, before an hour of Crowdie clips.

REST IN PEACE Paul. Smiler

It's a shame when anyone dies at a young age for any reason, illness, accident, suicide. I still miss my Aunt Cathy and it's been seven years since she died. Aaliyah, Janis Joplin, Kurt Cobain, it is a sad occasion. Maybe it's intended to refer to wasted potential.
