It's been quite a difficult day. Some tears have fallen but most importantly laughter has been shared amongst us. We are just so grateful for everything that Paul brought us - his life touched us in so many ways. It will be impossible to forget the magic he shared and his memory will live on forever in our hearts and minds.

Thank you to Neil and Peter for thinking of us on this day. I hope you know that we are thinking of you all too.

It doesn't seem a year - can't be surely?

Thanks to Peter and Neil for the lovely message - not the first time Neil's words have had me in tears, but possibly the most heartfelt.

As soon as I'd read those, coincidentally, my mp3 player decides to churn out, first, Still Emotional, then Black & White Boy...

Glad to say we're still emotional...

Neil and Peter, thank you.... I had to let it sink in for a bit. It is wonderful of you guys to think of us on a day like this. It's eh.... yeah. It's a very thoughtful thing to do, and I am actually kind of speechless.

I'm sure you know how much you guys and everyone around Hessie are in our thoughts today.

Yes, couldn't have put that better. It means a lot.

I'm kind of glad I missed the Commonwealth Games closing ceremony, would of got me going for sure. Strange thought, that the eyes of the world should be on Paul's city, today of all days, and I wouldn't mind betting that Don't Dream It's Over reminded a lot of people of him, not just us fans and the people who were close to him.

You may have only been around a short while mate, but you made your mark. RIP Paolo.

Peter and Neil, posting that message here is incredibly thoughtful of you both.

Such a sad day. Frowner

Hope you both are making it through ok.... My words are kind of lame, I know...but you both are in my thoughts, along with Paul.

Neil and Peter,
Thank you so much for that lovely message, it was really thoughtful of you. Today has been a really sad day for all of us, but what we're feeling doesn't even come close to what it must be like for you, so thank you for taking the time to let us know you're thinking of us. Reading that message this morning left me totally speechless. It goes without saying that you've been on my mind all day.
Love, Mag

You can shed tears that he is gone
Or you can smile because he has lived.

You can close your eyes and pray that he'll come back
Or you can open your eyes and see all that he has left.

Your heart can be empty because you can't see him
Or you can be full of the love he shared.

You can turn back on tomorrow and live in yesterday
Or you can be happy for tomorrow because of yesterday.

You can remember him and only that he is gone
Or you can cherish his memory and let it live on.

You can cry and close your mind
Be empty and turn your back
Or you can do what he would want-

Smile
Open your eyes
Love
and go on.

It seems like forever ago and yesterday at the same time that Paul left us. Time is a funny thing.

As I type this I'm watching the ARIA tribute to Paul. Such a moving version of BBHS, Neil's voice so thick with emotion and the pain so very evident in his eyes.

And on the anniversary of the death of his dear friend, Neil takes the time to send a note to all of us. How very kind and thoughtful. Thank you so much, Peter, for passing that on.

It's been a busy weekend, so it's been hard for me to get oline, but I've been thinking about Paul and all the people who have been affected by his death. Paul's daughters and Neil have been very much in my thoughts on this sad anniversary. May those who are feeling his absence the most come to remember him more with a smile than with a tear.

Hugs to everyone,
Shauna

Fantastic to see that Neil takes the time to remember us all as well at this time. It's a tribute to him and thanks to Peter for putting it here.

He still is - and always will be greatly missed.

I lit a candle for Hessie and watched the Dreaming DVD. Laughed and shed a few tears.

A year ago - it seems like no time at all and at the same time an age.

Glad to be here amongst people who know. Thanks to Peter and Neil for remembering our sorrow amidst their own.

Love and hugs go out to Paul's family and friends.

Paul - sadly missed, greatly loved.

I did the exact same thing yesterday. I lit a candle for Paul and watched Dreaming The Videos with my kids. I particularly love it when Paul tells everyone to "LUBE UP!" on the Sister Madly video. That always makes me (with my dirty mind) smile.

My heart still aches for Paul's family, friends, and fans. Love and hugs to all of you.

One year on, unbelievable isn't it. I lit some incense to send my thoughts to him and played 'I Like It Rare #3', then wished him peace and love. Peter, Neil, thank you for your caring words. Can't imagine how Paulo's family are fairing but my thoughts are with them. The first anniversary is always the hardest. For all us FRENZ we need to remember him living large and the 'lurv',fun and hilarity he brought to all he did. The memories are endless. Hope everyone is OK.
Liza.

Hi Frenz

thank you guys for so many amazing heart felt emails over the past week. For those of you who made it to Blackwood, the flowers look incredible and fine efforts making the gaveside respectable.

It has been a hard week, we all deal with Pauls loss in our own ways, but remember life is perish and he'd want all of you to live each day to the fullest.

Thanks for remembering our friend in so many ways, and with so much respect.

Love & Peace

PG

Peter, thank you, again! And I agree, this has turned into a warm, respectful and loving tribute to our Paulo....

I hope he somehow knows how much he is still loved and missed. And how very much he is still alive in our hearts.

This seems like a good moment to close this topic, like I said it has become a wonderful and respectful memorial and I'm sure we'll all be reading it over and over again. Thanks everyone, I'm still amazed at what happened here.

Suzanne
