If Paul was still alive do you think that he would have been back as the drummer in Crowded House? Also do you think that he would have played ther drums in Last years Split Enz tour and that they would not have asked Mal Green to drum for them?

I think that if he was still alive that they would have asked him to drum for both bands. I think he might have said yes to the Enz gig not sure about the Crowdies gig,but we will never know

He may have said yes to the Crowded House reunion but I doubt very much he would have done it for long.

If was still alive, there might not have been a Crowded House reunion, no? I thought it was, at least in part, his death that brought Nick and Neil together and sparked thoughts of bringing the band back together.

And Time On Earth would have stayed a Neil solo album...

Time on Earth wouldn't be called Time on Earth & it wouldn't have been so reflective of life & death. In short I agree that CH would most likely not have reformed.

As for the Enz... well according to Eddie, Paul wanted nothing to do with the Millenium show. Why that is hasn't been explained to my knowledge, so I guess the answer would be no there too unless something changed...

Too many IFs for my liking...

I have to agree. Until 2005, they hadn't formally performed as CH for 8 years, right?

I suppose the Opera House show in 96 was the last official concert played as 'Crowded House', but Neil, Nick and Paul played together (for the last time, I believe) in 2001 as shown in this YouTube video:

It would be an amazing thought to think what would it have been like, if Hessie was alive and they all got back together and toured.. What a tour that would have been.

Not dissin Matt of course.. Last night in Manchester it was great, but a lot quiter without Hessie
