I am so very fortunate to have received my copy of some of Paul's unreleased solo stuff. Has anybody else out there been listening to it too? I'd be interested in hearing your opinion.

Aaahh.....just to hear his voice.....leaves me speechless (almost!) The songs are beautiful and melodic, yet strangely haunting. I will treasure this CD....what a talented man!

Yes I too was so thrilled to receive my CD yesterday also, and couldn't wait to get it on to hear that beautiful voice again! Everything is still so bittersweet - at times I am filled with such joy and happiness in celebrating all that Hessie was and all that he gave to us, the music, the laughter, that smile, how beautiful and happy he looks in the photos, and then comes the flood of such sadness and grief that he has gone, and its just too sad! Doesn't he look gorgeous in his studio! I love these songs, I love everything Paul has done, solo, and especially LLT. He has such a beautiful and as you say melodic, rich voice which conveys such emotion, and his musicianship is incredible, and yes, some of his songs are haunting, a sense of longing, yearning, searching and questioning as well as the lighter, happier themes stamped with Paul's unique quirkiness and oh so original take on life!
"Wherever there is comfort there is pain - only one step away..."
What a gift to have, his music, but so sad there'll be no more - as you said, he was so talented, and in so many ways.
RIP Paul and thanks for the music.

Yes. "Mary's a Man" is the only one not included in the (as of July 2003) "Hairy Nuts"/"Masked Balls" line-up.

Mine arrived yesterday and like everyone else says, "Walking Into Rooms" is an outstanding song.

Incidentally, is it just me, or is anyone else a bit uncomfortable with the artwork on the back? I certainly got a shiver when I saw it.

Yes Brickfield when I first turned the CD over and saw the map, and clearly the place where Hessie left I felt a little puzzled by its choice, but then I realised we/I shouldn't be focussed on where or how he left, but how he lived, and this is a tribute to Hessie and his music, and that area of Elwood is the area where he lived and that he loved so much - the map just misses the area of the canal to be named in his honour, the Paul Hester Reserve, a great idea, I'm sure it will come to be later in the year, and I just love the cover photo of Paul in his beloved studio. And yes I will also say what a beautiful song "Walking Into Rooms" is, so full of emotion, you can just feel it, he has such an emotionally rich and powerful voice - I love them all, I hope one day we might get more of these treasures that were on his solo album! and in loving and enjoying his music we can say thank you to him by adding more to the trust fund set up for Sunday and Olive's future.
RIP Paul.

"My Telly's Gone Bung" and "Italian Plastic" are fantastic moments in PH history - i'd like to hear demo/alternate/cover/tribute versions of either of these songs. The Finn Brothers easily perfect "Italian Plastic". Wink

Hi all! Just got mine yesterday...my copy had a bit farther to travel. Wink

Gave me a bit of a start when I opened the packaging and there was Paul's beautiful eyes and and grin looking back at me...teared up a bit...but wow, what a great surprise...yes, also loving Walking Into Rooms....what a talent he was...he is sorely missed...but Peter and all, if you are reading this, this is just a lovely tribute...thank you!

And well put l&p...a thank you to Paul for the legacy of his music and for this legacy that our appreciation will hopefully be a help to his beautiful girls...

Really a must have IMHO, looking forward to listening again and again... Smiler

Best wishes to Paul's family, friends, and fans...and again thank you...just a lovely idea.

Hi Svensky, at this moment I like it rare 3 is only available to members of the Frenz of the Enz fanclub. It is not a problem at all that you live in Barcelona, everyone can be a member.

It is possible that after a while if there are some CD's left that they will go on sale on thiswebsite. I like it rare 2 is on sale here, for example. Sowatch this space, I guess!

Hi all, does anyone know if all the copies have shipped out? I haven't received mine yet, and I'd drop Peter a note, but he's off touring, which means he's probably got a backlog of email the size of Antartica.

Thanks.
