It plays here in Aussie too (assuming its the same one here).

Also, there is an ad for Planet Ark (Environmentalist group) about recycling greeting cards, it has Kylie Minogue (yuk!) on it and the beginning of Its only natural playing in the background. Its quite effective as background music actually!

Six degrees of Kylie Minogue - She is the image of the Green Fairy in Moulin Rouge. (Ozzy Osbourne is the voice)

Her name was just an echo from the 80's to me - but she's evidently been around this whole time.

(only thing that would have made Moulin Rouge better? A Neil song - take note, Baz Luhrman)

Oh dear. Neil was approached to write songs for Moulin Rouge. Only it didn't happen. He's given different stories for Turn and Run, but this is what he said to the NZ Herald (copied off a page on my web site) Smiler

From: History ever repeats with Neil Finn - Neil Finn talks to Graham Reid, 24.03.2001, New Zealand Herald Full Interview Transcript:-

"...Turn and Run off One Nil?

Originally written as a potential song for Moulin Rouge, Baz Luhrmann's new movie. I got approached for songs for it but before I'd even had any communication with them I wrote that song. As it turned out they really liked it but it wasn't appropriate, they wanted something else. Even lyrically it was based on what I perceived the film to be about. She's a prostitute and he's a songwriter trying to write a song to her about staying true to their love even if the world is conspiring against them. That was the origin of the lyric, it's about staying true to love and as a result the lyric is direct."

How interesting - thanks for sharing.

Baz is predicting the return of the musical - maybe we'll see Ewan and Nicole sing Neil's music yet.

In regards to kylenano post:
It's interesting how Neil Finn has 2 completely different reasons as to what inspired him to write "Turn And Run".
In the "Helen Young Concert" on Auckland radio NF said "T&R" was inspired when he was a kid in a war/peace parade. Yet now we have Neil saying it's based on the "Molin Rogue" story.
I think this goes to show we'll never exactly know the reasonings & meanings behind his songs.
