Beggar Thy Neighbour

Discusses foreign aid issues in the country of "Insomnia", ruled by 'President Gung Ho'. Should Australia give aid to brutal dictatorships?
Should we refuse defence contracts if the weapons are used to crush democratic rebellions? Should we buy non-bleached, non-rainforest toilet
paper?

Panellists: Dr Timoci Bavadra, Gareth Evans, Neil Finn, Alan Jones, Wendy Poussard and more.

Sounds really interesting. To shine and not fade back in that kind of forum I think requires thoughtfulness and intelligence (Which Neil of course possesses) but also agressiveness and egoism (or at least high-self esteem) to muscle in your remarks in the rapid-fire dialog.

If that's him and he held his own and contributed, that would definitely be worth $85. If that's not his forum, I would still be convinced he's thoughtful and intelligent and it would bother me not at all that he's no Robert Novak.

Thanks for tipping us off - seeing a transcript would be cool.
