Hi,

Whilst I love Beth's vocal's on Transit Lounge, if you want a better indication of her voice, check out her Myspace page :-

http://www.myspace.com/bethrowley

Anyone know how to get hold of one of her Eps, has she got an album out soon etc etc.

Nothing via Ebay or Amazon

Thanks, All

i suppose you could try and contact her (or management ?) thru myspace? i'm not a big fan of that site but i do find her range amazing.

i know she did a show close to here a few months ago~ perhaps catch her at one of her shows and ask personally? i mean, that's the idea of playing live isn't it? to promote a product. good luck finding it- and let us know what you find out Smiler

Cheers, Awamutu.

Had emailed her via her website a couple of months back with no response so have tried that again.

Free gig coming up for anyone who's interested :-

...update - there is seemingly nothing out there!

Emails sent to Website, BBC Bristol, scoured the web looking at specialist Jazz/Blues CD stores - nothing.

For Awamutu in particular and anyone else who may be interested, Beth's website has been relaunched, she has an EP coming out next month and according to HMV her debut album will be released in March.

An album track will feature a soaring falsetto improvised free-range vocal as Mr Finn returns the favour.

I made the last bit up.

No apologies for the bump!

The debut album is now out and is excellent, although I'm slightly disappointed that the title track doesn't feature on the CD!

Be interested in hearing other Frenz views.

Just for you, Bart - Beth Rowley is on the Culture Show on BBC2 in the UK tonight at 10pm, extended repeat on Friday at 1135pm same channel.

Incidentally, I enjoyed her gig in Bath at the end of May although I was disappointed her co-writer & sax player Ben Castle wasn't there.

There was an ad on TV last week for her album (I believe) - I had to think where I knew her name from though.

I'm living in a minor key, a melancholy mystery...

Only a short piece with Beth on tonight's show but there are a couple of extra songs from her & her band on the Culture Show website, apparently.
