How amazing is Bic Runga.

I'm one of those people who knows of the odd Bic song eg. Sway, Listening For The Weather, Get Some Sleep, Drive, Winning Arrow etc (mostly the singles), so I had no idea what I was in for last night. She blew me away.

The highlight of the night for me was Blue Blue Heart.

She came out and did some signing after, which I thought was really lovely. I'd had a few too many beers so I didn't say anything much to her apart from thanking her for the great night. She seems like a really lovely person.

Amazing is all I can say.

Crowd reaction was pretty good. It was a seated show mainly with people sitting at the back

Her voice was sweet alternated between an electric and acoustic guitar

Songs she played
Drive, Sway, Bursting Through, Get Some Sleep, Gravity, Captured, Birds

Bugger that's all I can remember. I was a good mix from all 3 CDs though

Oh and she has her hair cut into a short bob - it looks really cute

Breathtaking show last night at Manchester Lane Melbourne. Final (sold out) show of four, suported by local artist Brendan Welsh (Acoustic as well). http://www.brendanwelch.com.au/

(Not in order)Drive, Sway, Bursting Through, Get Some Sleep, Birds (with someone of keys), Winning Arrow, Election Night, Honest Goodbyes...

After the first say 5 songs, basically everything else was by request. Crowd reaction seemed fantastic from where I was but hard to guage for the general admission up back. Hope the sound was as good.

Encore of Blue Blue Heart and finished with Suddenly Strange which was spine tingling to put it mildly.

Lucky enough to get front table (dinner and show), and hung on every note and breath, the acoustics were incredible.

You forget just how good her voice is until you hear those first few words live, just amazing.

Said that she enjoyed touring with her band previous but joked she couldn't afford it. Then joked 'Nil Fun was uxpensiv man'.

Joked about being a hippy now cut off her hair and was a bogan. Asked the audience 'thats a moth too right?' Till a few yelled out 'Bogong' (moth) which she laughed and loved.

She saw her first live cockatoo running yesterday and it reminded her of seeing one on playschool.

Said she will be back around March, can't come soon enough imo.

Thanks Bic, amazing night. Can't say enough about intimate shows.

Rest now my beating heart.

Photos maybe tomorrow if I can work out getting them from phone to here.

Bic was awesome in Bulli tonight, fab show from a very talented lady. some songs were, Something Good, Say After Me, Drive, No Crying No More, Get Some Sleep, Bursting Through, Sway, Blue Blue Heart, Birds, Gravity.

She sang The Be All And End All, saying it was the first country style song she wrote and needed to pause part way through it as she was laughing so much, and explained she was thinking about the episode of the Simpsons where Homer got a job managing the country and western singer Big Grin.

She asked the crowd what they would like to hear, and also got onto the keyboard for one song. The Finn's/Enz guitar tech John also played keys one one song.

some photo's are following when photo bucket decides to work, they are'nt the greatest thu.

Night #3 at Manchester Lane- Melbourne, another really great night. Loved how she started the set with THE LAST KIND WORD, which is a Geechie Wylie (cover) song.

Bic the most relaxed I have ever seen her, that wonderful Day-Spa at St Kilda just works wonders!
(Thanks Jennifer for my Spa present day pass!! Bliss).

Got my first chance to chat with Bic for what seems like ages, and just great. She really is remarkable, and itching to record again.

The gig, loved it, 'lets get SWAY out of the way' third song in *GRIN*, and she couldn't do any wrong, she is getting a very solid following here, now if radio just played some songs.... but the crowd just watched her every move.

Maybe some requests on RAGE might help.....

Anyway one of the best BIC gigs I've been too.

Lovin' it!
