The concert was awesome. Bic is just as magnificent live, if not better, than on CD. I was impressed with Neil's modesty, it really was Bic's moment to shine. She is a goddess! The State Theatre was the perfect venue, topped off a gorgeous night.

It's here, finally. "Birds - Special Edition" has been released in New Zealand. It features bonus audio tracks ‘Somewhere In The Night’ and 'Something’s Gotten Hold Of My Heart’ and a DVD containing 5 live performances filmed at the Civic Theatre Auckland, November 2005, plus two music videos.

Bummer, I already have "Birds", but not the money to buy another one! Well, the album is great anyway. I'll take what I can get! Really bummed out that I can't see her live either, but looks like she's only hitting LA, not other cities like Chicago.

I wish she would put out a DVD!

I really hate it when this happens. Fair enough with the Finn Brothers album, the first version was a bare-bones edition and I had no problem getting it again with the DVD. But this is just taking the pxxx. When I bought the Bic Runga album, it was cited as the Special Edition which I had to pay more for...and now guess what...another Special Edition. These record companies need putting in their place, if they keep ripping people off like this, people will no longer buy cds when they come out and will wait for them to go in sales...and this will affect their chart placings...and the wages of those people who make the decisions. You can bet your bottom dollar they wouldn't carry on doing it if their wages were decreasing.

The Australian special edition features a 5 track CD, whereas the NZ version features 2 bonus tracks plus a DVD of live footage and video clips. The latter definitely gives more bang for your buck, especially for overseas buyers with exchange rates, no GST and all that!
