Really great to see so many Frenz members at Andy White's show at the Elsternwick Hotel (Melbourne) last night, nice to chat to you guys.

Andy will be doing a special album launch show for BOY 40 at The Corner Hotel on January 31st...we may have a special club member gettogether before that on the roof top garden and a chance to chat to Andy...here a few songs..we'll keep you posted.

I'm staying in Sydney for a 10 week business trip and my relatives had copies of the past 3 weeks of street music press.
Apprarently there are two rock magazines, newspapers here:
1. Revolver
2. The Drum Media

Both reviewed Andy White's CD Single and they absolutely trashed it and called it: CRAP.

Now I'm a a neutral fan of his work, I own 3 of his albums and one of them had a song that was quite long/dense lyrically and must have took some skill and effort to write. So I'm not trying to write this response to put Mr Andy White down, heck he's OK, even likable.

But did White do something bad (either act rudely to the media here in Sydney etc) to get such negative reviews. I'm thinking he did or are these comments just matters of subjective opinion, and not some fight between Andy White versus Sydney street press.

i love andy and his work.
i own.. nearly all albums i think and i won't give them away.
though it really took me a while to really get into it, i remember i thought, oh dear, what did you buy there... and forced my self to listen to it a few times more and the magic happened, i realized how good it actually was.
i like to hear his voice and i really love his lyrics and the guitar and all... it's such a friendly and deep music to me.

anyway, just me, i can understand if people don't like it and find it hard to get into it, but i'd say they didn't really listen hard enough.

and such little street magazine newspaper guys maybe aren't even paid and have so much music they have to listen to a day that they didn't give it a REAL listen...
