Always good to get reports like that - in Ireland you have more chance of hearing Crowded HOuse/ Finn etc on your TV rather than Radio!

Yeah pretty much the same here, the Finns don't get any play on radio, unless it's satellite radio. I've heard them on XM before. But it seems their songs show up with some regularity on TV shows. Between what i've read here and what i've noticed myself just in the past year Finn songs have shown up on the shows "Scrubs", "Boston Legal" (can't believe I didn't notice that myself I watch the show regularly), "Invasion" and the Indy 500. Must be the Finns have quite a following amoung television producers it would seem!

Getting Somewhere

|
Last March (2005) the Public Broadcasting Service (PBS)aired an image spot for their March pledge drive with clips of the excellent programming they offer, using "Anything Can Happen" as the audio track. I only saw the spot once, and as a former PBS pledge producer at a local member station, I can attest to their use of cool, seldom heard music (at least seldom heard here in the US on commercial radio)for these spots, which tend to be longer in length than the usual :30 or :60 spot.
The aim of these spots, of course, is to move viewers to call their local PBS member station and pay to join in support of all the great programming available on PBS. I suspect it's getting to be a tougher sell, with the high cable saturation and all of its niche programming being so readily available these days.
That being said, "Anything Can Happen" was a great choice! Beth
