hi there
reading that Neil is now rewroking or overdubbing material on the new album , has me wondering...has anyone ever heard tony visconti's stuff with the finn bros before it was redone?

I for one would love to hear what Tony came up with.

I think you'll find that LOTS of people have heard the visconti recordings. A certain *leak* that made it's way around cyberspace...

It's a very... DIFFERENT recording. Some nice songs that didn't make the album as well, though Sunset Swim ended up as a B-side. I think the version of Way Back Down was re-recorded with the rest of the album.

I'm curious... does anyone know who or what the leak was? An upset Tony Visconti maybe??? Smiler Or is this a bit of a taboo subject...

Moved from "Crowded House"...

Have a look in this topic on the Visconti Sessions - keep you busy for a while Wink

The Visconti version of Luckiest Man Alive makes an appearance on the EIH bonus DVD and I seem to remember some of the B-sides were the Visconti versions and didn't get re-recorded.

Visconti's a better producer than Mitchell Froom anyway, no actually Robert Fripp should have produced EIH!

It would have been a fine album and would have sold just as many. IMHO.

If you prefer the Woodface demos to the actual album then the V-sessions might be right for you.
