I thought there were only 2 Finn Bros. albums.
But on rateyourmusic.com, there's this thing called 'Eyes Of The World', released in 1998.
Here's the link:
http://rateyourmusic.com/release/album/finn_brothers/eyes_of_the_world/

So does anyone know what this is? Outtakes, live, studio album?

I have never heard of this either- I checked the link out and there was no available track listing, maybe the website has it mixed up with the song. Has anyone heard anything about a Eyes of the World EP, because I don't think it was released as a single.

Probably a bootleg of some show Neil and Tim did with the brief FINN tour in 1995. Or ... since the link had no info on it at all, perhaps someone just made it up just to be annoying?

Eyes of the World is a 16-track fan club release. Only 500 are pressed for each issue.

Thank you all! But why would somebody put up a Fan Club release of rateyourmusic.com?

My mistake, I should have remembered that it was a fan club release. I am 90% sure it is the Fillmore show from San Francisco, which would have been July 15, 1996.

The entire show can be found on somethingsofinn.com, but the CD itself has the tracklist as follows. It is a really good show, esp. at the end when Neil does I Got You on the ukulele.

Only Talking Sense
Eyes Of The World
Angels Heap
There Goes God
Four Seasons In One Day
Suffer Never
Where Is My Soul
Niwhai
Mood Swinging Man
Chocolate Cake
How Will You Go
Last Day Of June
Message To My Girl
I Got You (Ukulele version)
Famous Rock Riffs from History on the Ukulele
Paradise (Wherever You Are)

No it's not the Filmore show, it's taken from all over the place. There was a companion volume released through the club called Mood Swinging Men. One of them has an early version of Astro on it, the other has as a hidden track a very embryonic version of the verse to King Tide.

Thanks Camus ...

The only other Fan Club CD of that era I knew of was "Playing By Ear", so I just assumed it had to be the Fillmore show, esp. since it said it had 16 tracks.

Cheers

I was just thinking, ... Playing By Ear is the exact same thing as Mood Swinging Men then, since it has the early version of Astro on it. Strange that it could be known as two different names.

That being said, everything makes more sense now.

Playing By Ear is I believe Eyes of the World and Mood Swinging Men combined.
