Something So Strong

Didn't know quite where to post this. I read about one of the recent CH shows - I wanna say Boston - where the audience was singing along with FSIOD and grooving on the higher Tim part ("Blood dries up...") to the point where Neil had to say "More Neil! More Neil!" ha! I usually gravitate to that Tim part too.

So, I was wondering. Looking mostly at the songs the brothers sing together - SE, CH, Finn Bros primarily - what are the best Tim moments?

ok, I'll start with a couple:

1. the otherworldly count-in to "Only Talking Sense" (and by the way Mr. Sadly, THAT's the song I was trying to think of where Tim takes the lower harmony for a change - at least in the verses)

2. in WWY the extra "aye" he trails off with after "couldn't conquer the blue sky - aye"

...the horse ate my trousers...

I was going to say that, too! I love that part.

There are so many great Tim-bits. Big Grin I'll have to think this over and post again once I've narrowed it down from the 537 that immediately come to mind!

Off topic, momentarily:

Ross, your subject header deserves a large *groan* of approval.

Continuing on topic:

I'm with Hyacinth. I'll need to give this a think.

I've always been partial to Tim's harmonies on Catherine Wheels, especially at the line "whose needs do I serve"...gives me goosebumps.

Speaking of "otherworldly", how about that disturbed-yet-gorgeous humming at the end of Semi-Detached? That's in my Tim-bits hall of fame, too!

How about this one - "...fallen down between your knees, PLEASE, let me have my way-ay with you".

Just because we're a couple of Ohio girls, doesn't mean we don't enjoy a good TimBit now and then, eh hyacinth? Big Grin

How 'bout "hear me now! HEAR ME NOW!! WHOA!!"

That'd be from "Spiritual Hunger" not "Mr. Catalyst."

I also love the way he lilts and trills "Haul Away..."
