My mind is proberly playing tricks on me here, but who sings the lead vocals for the Enz song from SYR 'Adz'?
Sounds to me like it could be Nigel but my mother constantly tells me that it's Paul. Can any one set the record straight? ____________________________________________________________________________ And so, that's how it goes. Never the first, always the last to know! That would be a Nigel song, including the singing, though he doesn't consider himself much of a singer.
Paul's voice was much stronger and clearer. You can hear him on "This is Massive" (obviously) and "Italian Plastic" and "Skin Feeling" from the Crowdies, plus many random others. ~*~ Lu Yan: He who speaks, does not Know; He who Knows, does not speak. Surely you're masterful. |

it's definetly nigel, every member had their own song on the second side of See Ya Round, Paul's was This Is Massive, Eddie's was The Lost Cat, Noel's was Ninnie Knees Up and Nigel's was Adz. Great song in my opinion

Adz was one of my favourites from SYR
Makes me think Nigel maybe should have contributed more songs along the way. Texas Rose |

I agree, TR. He could even sing. In fact, I really like the run of Adz/This Is Massive/Kia Kaha - its the high point of the album for me. It all runs really well.

Those who have heard his album Sleeper will know that it is quite different than the music done in Split Enz. It's still very good, in my opinion, and I get lots of enjoyment out of it (particularly "Night Train"). It's just not too Enz-ish. For other stuff he's written and even sang on, there's the pre-Enz Octopus, the group that also featured Mal Green. ~*~ Lu Yan: He who speaks, does not Know; He who Knows, does not speak. Maybe that's why he didn't have more stuff. I have to admit that if I was listing to more Nigel stuff, I'd probably want it to be in the context of the Enz, because of how much I liked Adz.
That doesn't mean I wouldn't like his other things. I just didn't realise there was an album of his releases? (although I think I may have heard something about that a while ago - I'd forgotten. Texas Rose |

It's one of my favs too. The Lost Cat - Adz - This Is Massive - Kia Kaha has to be the best point of the entire album for me. ____________________________________________________________________________ And so, that's how it goes.
