Could this get any more depressing? Frowner Please Enz, come to North America. I can do Canada, but there is no way I can get to Australia. *Joins the Northern Hemisphere support ring*

I can't wait to see them. I've never had the chance to see them before. I'm not missing out this time. They can play in the Antarctic for all I care. I just want to see them. I don't care how much it costs, I'll sell a kidney on e-bay if I have to (just kidding).

That's exactly how I feel. This is not going to happen without me!
At least you're already in Australia, imagine how much it's going to cost me!! I don't think one kidney's going to cover it!
Who are the Church?

Aww crap.

If this is true, it looks like I'll miss out again.

I missed the Finn Brothers in July last year because of work and this year, I've been told I have to have my holidays in May. :-(

I can't win. (Unless they play Melbourne or Adelaide on a Saturday evening!)

It is true. The day after I posted the message, the Finn Brothers message board says that dates will be announced later this week so keep an ear out. I'm sure you can guess towns that will be played and it is described as 'the last chance to see them'!

Can't believe that I'm going to see Split Enz again - I thought that was all over in my late teens.
Bit of a bonus having The Church as the support band. When I was 15-18, my girlfriend and I used to go and see Moving Pictures a lot and The Church often supported them.

The Church is one of my favorite bands, especially their earlier stuff (pre-Starfish). Saw them in '04 here in Denver and they were fantastic! I guess I need to find a way to get there for the shows....

Gonna listen till I grow old...

New beginning for Enz

The Finn brothers are back where they started. More than 20 years since Split Enz disbanded, the iconic 1980s Kiwi rock band is reforming for a tour of Australia.
The band, whose hits included I Got You, History Never Repeats and I See Red, will perform at arena stages in Melbourne, Sydney, Adelaide, Brisbane and Perth.
The Split Enz line-up to tour Australia - Neil and Tim Finn, bass player Nigel Griggs, keyboardist Eddie Rayner, percussionist Noel Crombie and drummer Malcolm Green - produced the successful 1980 album True Colours.
Dates and venues for the tour are not yet known, and will be revealed at a press conference tomorrow to officially announce the band's intention to reform.
Tim Finn's decision to pursue a solo career in 1984 was a key factor in the band's demise, and it eventually disbanded in December that year.
Neil Finn later achieved huge international success with Australian group Crowded House, and has been performing as a solo artist since that group split in 1996.

YESSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I saw it this evening on National Nine News with them saying the True Colours line-up will do a stadium tour of Perth, Adelaide, Melbourne, Brisbane and Sydney.

There will be a press conference tomorrow.

Note the wording from Nine News... "Stadium Tour"... does this mean something like Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne?

Can't believe... looks like for the first time EVER I'll get to see the Enz Smiler

After the Crowdies special on Rage last week and now this... it's really ended well this month.

Someone on this thread suggested they might tour in June... if they are in Melbourne on the 8th... that really will be one birthday present that will never be topped Smiler

And here's a theory... Phil Judd lives in Melbourne... will he be brought out on stage then as an unanounced guest... a special surprise?

OOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHHH I CAN'T WAIT!!!!!!

I'M GOING TO SEE THE ENZ!!!!!

Is it true that The Church are supporting The Enz? If so, "holy rockin' cathedral spires, Batman!"
Wonder if there will be a special message from the Vatican? It might Enz with a Blessing! Big Grin

But how can we be sure its genuine? Big Grin

Welcome to Frenz Paul Smiler

I think this is sooooo exciting for those who were too young to see the Enz in their hey-day. Its flaming fantastic for me too, and I wasn't too young to see them then Roll Eyes

Thinking out loud: how come New Zealand wasn't mentioned? I'm even getting myself a passport - and won't stop that procedure just because New Zealand hasn't been mentioned yet - but I was a bit surprised. Apart from being so incredibly excited Big Grin

Yiiipppppeeeeeee Cool
