In the live section they show two songs from the BBC 1977. Could someone please tell me what the first song is?

Also, Tim introduces the second song, The Woman Who Loves You, as being from Mental Notes. Any idea if this is just a confused moment or is there more to it? It is on Second Thoughts, right?

The first BBC track is "True Colours (Let's Rock)", a song never included on any Enz studio album, although there is a live version on the Rear Enz (box set) CD.

Second Thoughts was released as Mental Notes in the UK and USA, so as far as Tim's British audience was concerned "The Woman Who Loves You" was from their version of Mental Notes, if that makes sense. Smiler

Ok, so after accessing the wealth of information of frenz.com I quickly found out that the song is True Colours. I guess I should have known that since Tim said those words a few times but it confused me that it wasn't on one of their studio albums. Roll Eyes Ah, to be a newbie.

I'm really dismayed that Let's Rock wasn't on a studio album, it's sooooo awesome! Frowner

I love the audience's reaction at the end of the performance of True Colours. They seem to sit in stunned silence...either they don't know that the song has ended or maybe they didn't know what to make of all the crazy stuff happening on stage. Tim has to encourage them to clap! Big Grin

Yes, I liked the fact they had to be encouraged to clap. The look on Tim's face is hilarious as well. Think I prefer the Later line ups version of this song, it's more funkier, plus there's some nice vocal harmonies from Neil. I've only heard two versions of Judd singing this, one from Auckland that's on Oddz and Enz and one from Wellington from the same tour. Normally I'd go for a Judd version over a dual Finn version, but it the song seems to have settled down by the time the lineup changed.

I believe the Nambassa Festival documentary closes with the Enz playing "Let's Rock". There is a brief snippet of this in the Spellbound documentary.
