Does anyone know how to play the guitar riff at the beginning of Stranger than Fiction? It also plays at the end.

I certainly do... great, great fun. The Enz were never particularly "riffy"... Wally is a genius.

I'm on a party line wondering all the time, who's on the other end?
Is she big?
Is she small?
Is she a she at all?
Who's on my party line?

Hey Camus. Have you ever thought about making a chords & TAB page for the Frenz website?

Lee-Roy's idea is a good one. Your tabs are always fantastic Camus and it'd be great to be able to access them easily.

I love Stranger Than Fiction. Since I got the Mental Notes remaster, I may even be able to go as far as saying its my favourite Enz song.

I agree. The tabs and chords can be applied to other instruments besides the guitar and it still sounds similiar to the original song. Big Grin Even if they don't, they're still enough to go on as a guide, then it can be easy to work out the rest on your own. Smiler

If I'm not mistaken, the riff was created by Miles Golding, not Wally Wilkinson.

No. I've never got the impression that many people are interested in them, or that the frenz site would want to host them.

Not really, if you're going to do something, do it properly. I know how frustrating it is when you ask something and you either get jokey responses or 'yes I know how to play it' with no explanation on how to play it.

Personally I've never heard of a song called Strabger than fiction! Smiler Must be something new from the Split Enz canon.

[Just kidding, guys - Sorry Camus, another jokey response Wink]

Strabger than fiction is the original version. Only a Split Enz and a few people know about it. Exact same song. just "strabger' instead of "stranger". Guess the record company made them change it. Wink

Maybe there was a misprint on that copy of Gormenghast that Phil had, or maybe Mervyn Peake thought it sounded better Big Grin

I recon there are people out there wanting chords and TABs to Split Enz songs. Apart from the songs that were singles/hits their songs are hard to find on the internet. There's no Enz songs on the OzTabs website!
