i love it too! don't know bout the instrumentation though. sounds like a drum machine and the only other instrument would be the bass. could be tim overdubbing it. i can't see where it would have fit on the enz catalogue (which is probably why tim gave it away) but i think it's a great song - great melody and great lyrics. "there's nothing wrong with her, that a dose of me won't cure" brilliant!

The version by Jimmy & The Boys is very good I think.

btw, what't the line after "in the name of modern medicine"? is it "let her leave". it sounds like it on the Tim version but not on the Jimmy version.

Sounds to me like "...and therapy," but it's just a guess.

Just remember we found this on a Mushroom Sampler Cassette that went out to various bands (that's how Igantius Jones & Jimmy & the Boys got it)....Publishing put together a tape of some rough demos (and completed tracks) for possible use by other people, penned and mostly performed by Tim... it would be a drum machine.
I thinkw e just transferred this song from the cassette to cdr for Ravens use ..with Tims ok.
Don't think he had the original handy (I could be wrong) so it only got some basic mastering
before going on Other Enz.
The Jimmy/Boys clip is great, and it earned them a Gold single award in Australia- their only Gold single.

Peter, I have one clip on video where they're all in one room with mirrors and one guy's cutting little paper stencils of people. Is that the official clip? I seem to remember seeing another one which looked like it was shot on the set of "The Young Doctors". Is my memory failing me? Maybe that was a Paul Hogan clip??? Either way, this 14 year old could NOT get around the cross-dresser!! Very disturbing!
