Can anyone tell me if the demos that were on the Nilfun website are still available somewhere on the net? If memory serves there was a demo for One Step Ahead and Bergen Aun Zee as well as some other songs. Btw, I'm sure I read somewhere that Bergen is a Phil Judd tune, but I find this hard to believe as it contains the guitar solo that eventually made its way into History Never Repeats, and the live version I have has Tim and Neil singing with Phil Judd playing guitar on it. Surely if it was his song then he and Tim would sing it (Like Play It Strange from the same concert).

I seem to recall Burgen was based on one of Phil's bunch of tunes that he brought with him to the sessions where Rob Gillies was dumped in his favour. Since Neil was in the band at that time, it may be possible that it's Neil's solo and he later re-adapted it...

Paul.
