I guess the enz were dropped by chrysalis in 1978, but i see red was released by illegal records.
What was the enz deal with illegal, was it for just a single? ta |

I've often wondered about this one-off Illegal single myself. I'm guessing it was released in the UK after it became a hit in Australia because it has the same "cartoon" cover (drawn by Noel?) as the ultra-rare Australian sleeve. For some reason the UK sleeve notes falsely claim that the B-side Hermit McDermitt is the Luton version when it's actually the Frenzy album version.

I just checked my I See Red single which is on the Mushroom International label, and the B-sides are Hermit Mcdermitt and Message Boy from Luton. Maybe the Illegal Records version is just a copy of this but uses the Frenzy version of Hermit Mcdermitt?

Yep, the Australian B-sides are both Luton tracks. The B-sides of the UK single are the Frenzy versions of Give It A Whirl and Hermit McD.
