Yes it is on the shelves. I bought my box at JB Hifi on Dec 11. But they only had one set and the outside was a little damaged so i had to go to another JB store nearby and grab their only set.

$136?! What a bargain! I remember the gold and silver box sets costing $130 each! Wonder when it hits NZ stores.

Beat me to it Flickr! Even better is that if you order on the 15th of the month, you get free shipping within Australia, so that was all the incentive I needed to order it today. Has to be some compensatiom for being on the wrong side of the ditch! Regardless tho, I think that price will be hard to top wherever you live!

Wonder if they are that price in store? I bought mine today at JB Hifi for $135.00 and Sanity is in the same shopping centre but I didn't even think to look in there as they're usually more expensive and don't always have what I'm looking for. Luckily I haven't yet opened it yet so might have to take myself back to there tomorrow to investigate as a savings of $35.00 would be nice thanks, especially at this time of year! Smiler

Their prices often tend to differ online, sometimes they're a bit cheaper but not always, or sometimes much cheaper. Actually a friend gave me a heads up a while ago that JB can be the same, so it can sometimes be worth buying stuff online even with paying for postage ... not the case with this one though.

For anyone patient enough to wait, they offer free shipping in Oz on the 15th of each month if you pay with PayPal. Use your Christmas money perhaps.

I just read the comment about the box set going for $99 at Sanity. I called the store up & they said they can order it thru the store and you should get it for $99.95 so you won't need to pay for postage. I paid $136 at JB HiFi (ripped off) so i will be taking it back to save $35.

Split Enz are a New Zealand band, aren't they?

This kind of thing happens every time! I don't imagine that a simultaneous NZ/Aus release is that hard to arrange! Roll Eyes

Hi: Anyone know off-hand whether the new reissues on this box contain the bonus tracks that were on the bonus cd's of the old silver and gold boxes (odds and enz/rear enz)? Also, does anyone have an opinion as to whether it's worth it to purchase enz to enz for the remastered sound over the old boxes? I hate to have to re-purchase them all again, but would if the sound were that much better. Thanks!

Hi cjp. The box set contains the remasters released last year, some of which had bonus tracks taken from the Oddz And Enz and Rear Enz CDs. There is very little duplication, though.

From Oddz And Enz, 5 out of 10 tracks:
'129' [live]
'Another Great Divide'
'Lovey Dovey' [live]
'Things' - remixed version
'Two Of A Kind'

From Rear Enz, 2 out of 11 tracks:
'In The Wars' - remixed version
'Next Exit' - edited version

If you don't have any of the remasters, I'd say this box set is well worth getting just for the remastering alone, plus Frenzy has finally been done justice with remixing, while Corroboree has been remixed too. Hold on to the gold and silver box sets as collectables!

Thanks for the kind reply. I guess I'll save up my pennies for the enz to enz box. I haven't put on the old cds form the gold and silver boxes in a while, but I'll do so just in case the sounds is something I can live with (I'll report to others if it really sounds ok).

Do the discs in this box come in the digipaks or jewel cases?

Thanks!
