Now the link is working. Smiler Great pics...nobody else comes close in the realm of creative costuming, in my opinion. And Eddie's makeup in some of these shots blows my mind...the eyes in particular...stunning and startling!

Thanks for that Daniel, there are indeed some great photos in there.

Have to agree, hyacinth. Eddie has the most amazing eyes. I thought I ran into him one time in Wellington, but this guy just didn't quite have Ed's zing about him, try as he might to even give me a cheeky grin (well I was wearing my True Colours shirt at the time). Have you ever seen the images of him as ... err ... Edwina? I think it's in Book Enz. Must say he makes a rather impressive woman too! Big Grin

oooh, no, I haven't seen those! I'm getting a good mental image, though...lol! I'm guessing he's a prettier woman than Noel in the "I Hope I Never" video...sorry, Noel! Big Grin

It almost sounds like this guy was making an effort to pass as Eddie?

Yes, you might be onto something there. I did wonder why he actually stopped walking momentarily to look at me and grin. He said nothing, turned and went, but I must admit I did do a double take. Even as I watched him walk though I remembered his faced lacked the same light that I'd seen up-close in Ed's a few months earlier, and he didn't have the same spring in his step as he walked.

Here you go hyacinth, you decide

I've always admired that collection of photos. As far as I know, it's the only one of its kind on the 'net.

Thanks for the photo's Daniel - they are delightful.

Thanks also for that additional pic mummakook. Dare I say it - I think Eddie almost makes a prettier woman than Tim Eeker Big Grin

Mike Chunn is the other guy in that photo, not Tim.

Check out the photo entitled "Nightmare Stampede". The guy standing between Phil and Mal does not look like Mike Chunn.

It was a general observation Gav Big Grin I think I looked at the pic and suddenly had that image of Tim dressed as a woman in the Fraction Too Much Friction video clip.

Looking at that pic again...oddly enough, Eddie and Mike wear less makeup as "women" then they did onstage as themselves at that time! Also...nice ruffly/frilly collar on the shirt, Eddie...lol!

Funny you mention that about the collar, hyacinth. I've long thought that Tim and Eddie were the two who seemed happy enough to wear pink (and fushia) and ruffled collars and pull them off rather well.

And for an about-face to the makeup observation, I was talking to Devil recently about the Time & Tide Hamilton show and she found it curious that although with the exception of Tim (and then it's mostly the hat really) they were all wearing what could be defined as street clothes, and yet Neil's the only one who's obviously wearing makeup.

Need I provide photos to illustrate these points, if I have them?

True! Probably the first Enz tv appearance I saw was when they were on "Fridays" back in the True Colours era; but I had a black-and-white tv at the time. Years later when I finally saw that performance in color... Eeker...the pink suit! lol

OK, well it's not all pink, but this has to be included

Ed in pink

Tim in Pink

OK, I've only limited caps of the Time & Tide Hamilton show to hand and I don't know that the ones of Neil will show anything, but here we go anyway
