apparently the drums on The Choral Sea are from a drum machine, accoding to enzology

Sorry, I thought you meant specifically what keyboards was Eddie using. Those songs all use the standard Split Enz instrumentation - electric guitar, bass guitar, percussion, drums (or drum machine in the case of the Choral Sea) various analogue keyboards/synthesisers and piano.
