As far as I know, the song they played on air was Poor Boy, though I could be wrong. It depends what country you're in and what network coverage they bought as to the length of the broadcast segment and therefore the song they picked. Were they wearing their costumes in the shot?

Here in Aussie, we got Message to My Girl as the clip aired on New Years Eve. However, I don't recall them wearing any costumes at that point (They WERE wearing clothes, however...). Just not funky costumes.
