Big Grin FG that last photo is too much! I was in stitches when Michael offered him the spoons with such a concerned expression. Fantastic shot you took there Smiler

And MK, I'm totally up for any coffee table books you may have in the works, especially as I didn't bother taking many photos of the shows (I think I took less than ten in total over two nights in Auckland!). Your photos are always pretty spectacular Big Grin

I'd put my hand up for a copy of your book mk, especially one which focused on these most recent Enz shows. Smiler

Thanks for posing yourself for us Melbie. It made a terrific picture, and a fabulous momento of the effort which the special Frenz of the Enz are willing to go to. You'd be more than welcome to a copy of you like.

I'm lucky that I had my niece with me. Her pics are much better than mine, and she's a happy snapper (like her Dad Smiler) so she's content to just click away. I tend to get impatient and my shots are crap anyway. Roll Eyes

We did get some duds, but we got some goodies too.

It doesn't really matter what quality they are. Everytime I look at any one of them (Enz related or not), the memories come flooding back. That was always the idea. Big Grin

Thanks, everyone, for sharing pictures here. My concert photos are pretty awful, too--except for the new avatar Smiler. I'm fortunate, though, to have talented and generous friends...

I'm finally reclaiming my exciting hausfrau life after my incredible Kiwi holiday. 'Twas a pleasure to meet you, Melbournian and Texas Rose!

And, Mummakook, what can I say, you are a fabulous Kiwi ambassador (especially for an Aussie Wink) You and your partner in crime were fabulous company, I hope to return the favor someday soon--perhaps September/October?

As the Enz high wears off, I'm taking solace in my tickets for Crowded House in Washington on May 2. It can't compare to Enz Auckland (can it?), but it's always comforting to have some Finn tix in hand and a date on the calendar.

Ah...off to kick the last of the L & P. Sweet as Big Grin.

It was brilliant meeting you too Devil. Big Grin

The whole Enz New Zealand thing makes one pause indefinitely in the consideration that if the Enz do re-form and play anywhere else, we'd want to be there - wherever it is. Eeker

Enjoy CH Devil, and look forward to reviews. Smiler

>>I'd also like to send a shout out to The Visitor. It was fantastic to meet you B, but somehow I didn't make the connection - duh I start to get confused because people have a forum name and a real name, and for some reason, I was thinking that B was your forum name. What a dope. By the time it had twigged, you were gone. if I seemed vague it was because I was thinking and trying to make a connection. Plus which I always appear vague when I'm thinking.<<

Hey no worries TR, it was lovely to meet you, although briefly, we were all in a bit of a Frenzy Smiler

I believe PG videoed all the shows including the dress rehearsal, and there is matching soundboard recording (though he says the sound quality from the video is pretty good - personally I'd rather it from the board), so there is hope of at least a club DVD.

I didn't see any pro-cam at the Wellington gig, i did see the odd am-cam though.

I hope there is an audio capture from the soundboard > disc or memory card, dubbed to some am-cam would be GR8, and released through the club ??.

That was the same PA gear C.H. used at the venue,(pretty sure).
In spite of what some say (not here at FF, but the general public) about the acoustics at the TSB Wellington, i think they are GR8, especially with the speaker stacks suspended by chains from the roof, aimed at the audience.

What i do like is when there is no audience, you can really feel the frequency response, it amazing how the audience absorb the sound.
But i guess you can't have a gig without an audience. Roll Eyes Big Grin
Maybe PG could tell us how much Canwest (TV3) were allowed to capture of the Auckland gig, more than just the first 3 songs ?.

Its a pain though B because I would have liked to have taken the time to chat. As it was, I was taking the time to place you. Roll Eyes I feel like such a goon. Razzer

Anyway, I was sincere in my greeting, so at least I got to meet you and say "hi".

I'd dearly love a club release but would also want the DVD vision. I like to watch. Big Grin It was special, and their outfits this time were fantastic. I have to honestly say that I didn't much like the Melbourne Enz reunion cozzies.

The review on stuff.co.nz likened the 2008 outfits to those of Barry Manilow Eeker.

With you all, though--a club dvd would be fabulous. I treasure the One Out of the Bag dvd.

Huh? Confused

You have to ask, who would even think to compare anything to Barry Manilow (I'm not criticising, I think he's sexy Big Grin)

Strange... anyway.

Thanks for that bit of info Devil. Quite bizarre, but I do like to know what people are saying, even when I don't agree with it. Wink

I've added Carried Away and Titus to my MySpace page, but its listed as private, so if you want to see it, you may need to send a friend request?

However... I'm having some computer issues at present, and the status says that the upload is still processing. Roll Eyes

If the upload there doesn't work, I'll try something else.

Oh sorry for a slight hijack of this thread, but Big Grin
Re: The Von Trapp children, and The Sound Of Music.
Don't know if someone saw this on TV1 (NZ) Breakfast Show.
Hope it's not too naughty, well i don't think it is...
Do you remember the part in the film The Sound Of Music where Reverend Mother: (Instructively) Maria.

"What is it you can’t face?"

Now this is said in a heavy Austrian accent.

Near the end of this clip at 3.00.

This joke was told on air, then well guess you had to see it...

I am still rolling around the floor about The Sound Of Music joke on Wednesday.
Poor Peter Williams cracked up reading his news Bulletin with Paul and Pipa laughing off camera for 3 1/2 mins.
Peter Williams lost it on the word bottom. LOL
Funiest bit of television i've seen in years.
Breakfast TVNZ you just have to put this up on the site. LMAO. :-)

Finally, some of mine from the 29th, better late than never (though I personally like receiving Christmas and birthday presents over a greater time period, makes it more special). I was in the same row but way too far off to the side for my liking Frowner

Various pre-bow squabbles ensued

but we got there eventually

Here's one clip forRed at Christchirch, but it seems to be incomplete and lack sound. Here's one for Welly that seems more complete. I can't get the sound to work on it either so it's probably just some temporary glitch with my machine.

Ash, these are poster worthy pics - seriously straight to the pool room stuff, if you are familiar with The Castle terminology.

Well done.
