Indeed. Do you reckon it's a transfer from the tapes, or from the LP set. That's the question...

I'm not doubting that the content on the CD-R might be the genuine article, and I use the word MIGHT in a huge way, but the above looks very much to be to be price-scalping. To be honest, I would rather pay much less for the real thing then pay an outragous price for something that is possibly a bootlegged copy.

I wouldn't touch that with a ten foot barge pole for fear of repercussions from the BBC. I don't know whether they pursue the sellers and/or purchasers but I simply wouldn't risk it. I have to ask... if it is the genuine article, and it hasn't been officially released by the BBC, does that mean someone has nicked it and its now up for sale?

I can't speak for the BBC but I do know that there are a few out there that DO trace any person who buys the article in question, purely because naturally they want their property back. It's called 'recieving stolen &/or pirated goods' and you can be charged for it IF the rightful owner/copyright holder wishes to press charges. To be on the safe side, I wouldn't risk it either.

You're complaining to the wrong people. You need to tell the BBC or the copyright holders about it, not eil.com. Of course they won't take it off their site - they'll lose a potential sale... I'm sure they're well aware that what they're doing won't win them any friends with the copyright holders too. Someone mentioned eil.coms ridiculous pricing as well, I just had a look to see what other scalped items they had, and noticed they're selling a single Muse wristband (official merch that you can legit buy from plenty of places for about £4.00 for two) for £14.00 reduced from £18.00. Seriously, who in their right mind would buy that?!
