Just wondering if anyone has had any problems with the DVD.

I have had a problem when you select Play All on the main menu & just before the Enz start playing Message to My Girl it goes back to the main menu instad of playing the song.

I have now had two copies & they both do the same thing at exactly the same spot.I have a few DVD players & the same problem happens on all of them.

Does anyone else have the same problem?

Really bothers me as i am really enjoying this.

Yeah, my copy does the same. Perhaps I'm overreacting, but I'm a little annoyed about it. Whoever put this DVD together made a real stuff-up. Also noticed Double Happy has two access points, but I can live with that. Bad work Warner Music...this is gonna cost ya. *shakes head*

May I ask, do you guys have your club ones in hand, or are you talking retail copies?

must be an error on all discs. just tried in my dvd player and then my computer drive and did same thing.

this is becoming a bit of a theme now, with the bugger ups on the remastered Frenzy tracklist and See Ya Round getting wrong bonus track. Might also point out there was an error on the Skyhooks remaster as well. Its a shame as it really taints great product and this seems to be the norm rather than the exception.

Heads should roll !!!!!!!!! Wink

And another Enz collectible is born.

This is gonna suck to deal with for those of who ordered from overseas.

Mine's a retail copy.

Little errors with Enz releases are nothing new. This is a collectable of dubious appeal.

Such a shame about the DVD because it is a really, really good performance.

Does this error make it so that the other songs aren't accessable, or just that they can't be done from the "play all" menu?

When the DVD reaches the 20:25 mark during playback, it automatically returns to the main menu without prompting. However, if you use your DVD remote to jog forward through that time period a second or two earlier, it avoids the auto-return and plays fine. The rest of the DVD is OK.

Both of my copy's came from JB HI-FI in Sydney.

I am starting to get really annoyed with the Enz & Warners can't they get anything right.

How hard is it to match up track listings so the artwork & the CD are in sync & is it that hard to press a DVD without a technical fault.

It seems there is no quality control with Warners Enz realted products.I don;t know what the problem is over there but someone better sort it out.

Not good enough.

While we're attacking Warners and the Enz, boy did the booklets for the Remasters suck! No essays or photos, no design even! Nice to have lyrics, what about the other 80% of the page?!

The transfers of the artwork for the covers were dreadful too, what the hell happened to the Frenzy painting? The aspect ratio is totally wrong on the digipack. Other photos were pixilated and looked awful in the booklets too.

If you play the DVD by selecting the first song it continues to play to the end with no glitch (well it does on mine anyway).

I'm more irritated by it stating it's a seamless show, even though at least two songs have been cut, one I really wanted to see and hear again (Jamboree). Oh well.

Well the Enz remasters were obviously put together a little too quickly, perhaps with a little disregard for the booklets, or even the tracklistings on one or two.

Hey Joe...the show could hardly be seemless if it was taken from two separate nights eh! They should've included 'Jamboree', and 'Sweet Dreams', and 'Titus'...

ah bless, some things are rubbing off Big Grin

I'd be throwing the ball in Warner's court. Needs someone that actually knows what they're doing with quality control and maybe opening the wallet a bit more.

The problem really isn't that severe. It's only when you use the play all function. If you go to the playlist and select the first song, it'll play the whole thing seamlessly.

Yeah not one that we worked on... I've left a message with our manager...the club is holding off as I really DONT want to send out crappo copies, I'd prefer if the record company recalled and fixed the problem. Insane that it somehow got onto the market like this, oddly enough I mentioned to David from the Enz camp that the (70s group) Sherbet had a bad menu problem and look what happens so does the Enz one. GRRR am hoping this gets worked out soon...will update you when I get home.

Meanwhile the club will be focused on sending out all the Lutons so at least you guys have that wonderful 2 cd release.

Thanks
P

a seven day time period to put together remastered books is never enough especially when Enz members are so scattered, if it was one cd it would be easier when it's (nearly)all it's impossible, even getting photos cleared can be a huge effort....it was either go for it or not have them at all. Sometimes you just do what can be done when a band is around (even if it's only for 2 weeks)....we are still attempting our Skyhooks catalogue and with no band it just isnt happening (yet) the Enz could of easily ended up the same.

Frenzy painting in a private collection from what I recall (not Raewyns or Eddie's) so it had to come off the vinyl covers.... saying all that the covers are a million times an improvement compared to the mid price masters...
some people obviously have forgotten just how bad they are.....

always the old cliche- dont like something dont buy it? I'm not a fan of digi packs, I understand why they are done, but like so many of you detest them but that call wasn't up to me. in 2007 most bands have a digi pack style release around touring... not saying it was wrong of Warners, just my own thoughts that they seem to fall apart, even in the stores. I'd love each Enz album to be like some of the amazing RYCO style releases but some people need to be relaistic around what can be achieved.... and what budget there is etc...

In the end when I listen to Frenzy I'm just stoked to have the music, all else (to me) is secondary...it's important but Eds fine work on some releases just makes me happy.
