I couldn't find a relevent Split Enz topic to add this to, but...

While watching a 1990 repeat episode of Neighbours today, I was very surprised to hear the character of Melanie singing my mistake out loud in the kitchen! Strange that she was singing a Split Enz song, but even more strange that she was singing an OLD Split Enz song which wouldn't have even been in Split Enz's 10 most popular songs (or at least 5 most popular). The song would have been well over 10 years old by the time of filming too.

This topic probably won't get (m)any replies & it's sad I had to post it at all, but there wasn't really any topic I could add it too.

As I recall a number of Split Enz songs were used as 'background' music in Neighbours in the 1990s.

Rumour has it an old episode of Coronation Street even featured "I Got You"

oh yeah, and i remember lots of CH songs being played in the Diner in H&A. As far as i recall, I Got You (enz) and Locked Out (CH) were very frequent pop-ups. Although As Sure As I Am did pop up in a beach sequence once, and someone was taught to sing with "It's only Natural". Strange...
