Slave To Ambition |
I have recntly listened to the Enz catalogue in cronological order and was amazed at the qantum leap the band made between Frenzy & True Colours.
It seems to me that in all areas, lyrically, volcally and musically it was an enourmous statement. I recall a thread late last year in which we were asked to vote on our Favourite Enz albums and True Colours was while not dismissed as "commercial" was certainly overlooked in favour of other albums (myself included who pumped up the tyres of T & T). I think it's impact was not only felt on the charts but lifted the Enz into a creative orbit that took some time to desend from. |
