Thought I'd start a new thread for reviews and thoughts on the new Enz DVD.

Looks nice, sounds nice.

One thing that disappointed me - no Jamboree.

It's the first Melbourne Gig (at least for Shark Attack), I just saw myself in the audience.

Favs - "Message to My Girl" and "Stuff & Nonsense".

Disappoited no "Time for a Change" or "Years Go By".

All in all a wonderful record of a great tour.

No Devil You Know either. I can understand no Time For A Change or Years Go By, they weren't performed at either Melbourne concert, but Jamboree and DYK were.

5.1 sounds nice, much better than Farewell To The World.

Sam, there are probably already parts of the concerts uploaded from last year. I know I have bits here and there, but they were put in my Photobucket, not YouTube. So, some searching would have you find it.

I went out and got it from JB Hi Fi today for just under $22. It is fantastic! It brings back so many memories. I also spotted my sister and I (more then once) in the audience what a great keepsake.

I made the news... but I still deny it all!

Nice to see them include the Frisbee throwing contest, the backstage encores and even a cameo from Gryph too!

Think they could have packed the DVD's with some nice extras like media coverage, biog and even commentary...but hell i'm just greedy!

I haven't looked at the DVD yet, but have been lucky enough to listen to the live CD in the car.

It will be getting a lot of use.

have heard the cd. drums are a bit undermixed like they were at the shows. great guitar sound. vocals have been smoothed out a bit.

Nigel's great work comes through nicely as well.

Despite returning my copy today due to the manufacturing error, the DVD is really, really good and very professional. One of the better concert DVDs I've seen. It's well produced with no camera tricks or dodgy angles, well edited (although I noticed one continuity error!), and the audio's great.

As promised on the packaging, all the theatrics are there...the bag hobbling on-stage, the frisbee throw, Tim, Neil and Eddie's banter, Noel's Hendrix-esque guitar freak-out...and little touches like the pre-stage preparations and the backstage between encores add that extra something. Love the packaging too. And the CD is the proverbial icing on the cake. Very tastefully assembled, with a lot of thought put into the final product. Pick up a copy if you can!

OK, so who got in the video during the credits?? I think I spotted Matinee Idyll and Charlz, (who haven't really been heard of here since the tour). Anyone else seen themselves in the interviews?

(mods, do you think we could make this a sticky to go with Luton?)

This is quick as we are away for the final week...I have left a message with David our manager on the manufacturing problem (about 20 minutes in with the Play All Menu-so I'm told) just to see 1/ if he is aware 2/ if they are doing a recall and hopefully correcting it.
Naturally we are holding off till we know, I'd prefer you guys to have a perfect copy, not one with a fault.
If it means waiting a short time for that I'm fine about it- when I know more (I'd say in a week when I return) I should have more exact details.....

First for us is getting all the Lutons out, Mark mailed another 60 today, the 2nd order goes in next week...so he is getting through them, hard when it's one person checking all the addresses, addressing, customs forms, boxing, stamps, mailing..... but nice that the first batch went out a week early.

I'm back in the office soon so not long till we are back to normal re: the club.

Great news, but on a fifferent note.

Will there be any chance for those going to the Perth gigs, to get a tour programme at some point?

Please say there will be, as I am devastated that they are all sold out Frowner

I've seen tour programmes on eBay, you might even get it for cheaper than at the merch tables.

I have a feeling UK management got the one big run done... they worked out to be rather expensive and I'm sure they stung with some import tax.... so only a limited amount would of came in. Melbourne show #1 gobbled up some insane amount.

Tea towels are really low too, so if you are going to both Perth shows I'd grab one at the start just in case.
