I'm watching the DVD in 5.1 surround sound, and I'm just blown away by it, I'm back in Rod Laver Arena!

the re pressing is almost complete (remember they also have to remove old stock from boxes and add the new stock in) so not till long till the club order will arrive.
I'm just glad the club copies are faultless! I know waiting is a pain but it's important that you get the dvd without faults. Gryph. |

Hey gryph...just out of curiosity, does the club DVD differ from the commercial release?

They are the same. They decided to change the name from "Short and Sweet" to "One Out of the Bag".
Can't wait to see it though. |

Just got mine (thanks Gryph) and love it. But I'm curious why Tim laughs just at the beginning of Bold as Brass - he seems to almost choke on the words, and then laughs. Anyone else pick that up?

It looks like he forgets the next line or something and goes totally blank for a second.
Neil looks like he's in seventh heaven during this song. every form of refuge has it's price..... |

Yeah, I thought that, but I'm not entirely convinced - he almost trips up on the words. Not a big deal, I was just curious
The other song that Neil seems to be busting himself with delight is My Mistake. The way they all come together after an introduction of sheer anarchy, and he says WOW, is a real treat. |

I just got the impression that the guys were sharing some kinda joke, because there seemed to be a few laughs as the song was started, and Tim was reminded of it again. You know how those things can be, the more you know you shouldn't laugh the more you want to. Remember those who saw the brothers play at the Enmore in 2005 how they were laughing so much after one lot of banter that it took numerous attempts to start the next song.
One moment that I won't forget was when they went backstage after wrestling Noel with his guitar and they're asking each other if they're all right, if their back's ok then Eddie (certainly sounded like him anyway) asks if everyone's prostate is ok ******* Oh yeah yeah yeah you’ve got a strong mind I like to sit with you and talk for hours |

Thanks to Peter and Mark it arrived safely today, and straight out of the packet into the dvd player and bonus cd.
Had just as much fun, spotting everyone in the audience. Loved 129 again, and again, & I Hope I Never. I'm sure Tim's mention of the trousers and the lads losing weight was from the Brissie warm up show. Neil's comment of Eddie & Nigel's side of the arena standing up, was due to the Frenz pre-ticket sales. First night. We were all on the same side. Thanks for the love and sweat that went into the dvd. ____________________ people hear what they see |

I thought that too about the pants being too loose, unless it was repeated late on ... I didn't recall that though.

Is that on the DVD? I do remember Tim asking for the lights to be turned off so that he could pull his trousers back up, during the dress rehearsal in Brisbane. And I think they mentioned that they had all lost weight at a later show. Our DVD hasn't arrived yet, so I'll have to wait and see. I can't wait to see it, but I am a bit disappointed to learn that The Devil You Know isn't on it... |

Hehe, I saw you on the DVD Mags! As well as Scares!
The bit with the pants was definitely from the fanclub show, good to see a bit of that. I think most of the DVD was hobbled together from the Melbourne shows, though some of the banter was foreign, so I think there're some tidbits from outside Melbourne (either the first Sydney show which I missed in order to catch up with ex-pat work-mates, or the shows in Adelaide and Perth.) The set-list doesn't exactly follow the true live one, but hey, I'm not complaining, it's pretty seamless, and it's good to relive the memories. A+ for recapturing the spirit of those live moments, those shows will always mean a lot to me since it was my first trip to Australia. Hopefully not the last! If only they'd included the frisbee contest, that would've been sweet. ------------------------------ "You like my pants?" - Neil Finn 2006-06-07 *Avatar by Doodler* |

They did Talk about reliving the magic. I've had mine for a couple of weeks now and its arrival was perfect. I'd been flat on my back for a couple of weeks at that stage with a really serious back injury (already had a mild-ish injury but the incompetent physiotherapist made it a whole lot worse) So then this arrived. Sheer bliss. You think you remember every minute of a special night, but as I watched I was thinking "oh yeah, that's right". For anyone who didn't get to see the Enz in Australia, I hope you grab a copy of this because it is the next best thing to being there; it captures the spirit of the thing beautifully. Thank you so much Peter. It was worth the wait. I'm assuming I'll still get to New Zealand - but even so I really hope there are plans to record the New Zealand shows. Texas Rose |
