That's the one that I've got crimpies.

It came in a sleeve, which is different again.

I got mine via the Club. Don't know if the commercial release was different (sorry if this has been covered).

I bought mine from JB HiFi soon after it was released, it came with a sleeve so I suppose this could be a second pressing?

That definitely looks like a second pressing to me.

I got mine through the club AND was accidentally given a commercially released copy of this last Christmas (with fault in menu but I'm keeping it anyway - I'll wear out the faulty one long before the Club one Wink) and BOTH versions came in a sleeve.

Only the sleeve is different. The inside cover of both versions of the DVD/CD set are exactly the same as your posted pic crimpies. Smiler

The one in the pic is in a plastic case isn't it? So yes, seems like that's the standard edition, whereas the ones with the outer sleeve and digipak case are the 'deluxe' edition - which means you get some nice metallic bits in the sleeve printing but the whole thing will get scruffy more quickly!

I have a repressing (i.e. menu errors corrected) in the cardboard/digipak packaging, so this plastic case one must be the standard version.

Hi everyone

I've only just had time to sit down and watch the DVD.

I'd just like to say how much I enjoyed it thanks to everyone involved but mainly The Enz for touring and Peter for sending me my copies -one to watch and one as backup Wink

The main thing that came over to me was how much that they enjoyed being together and playing their songs. It is probably as close as I'll get to see them as I'm in the UK Smiler. Peter - how about putting in a word for the Enz at Portsmouth Guidhall on 2 July 2009? The 28th anniversary of their last ever peformance in the Uk Wink

Back to topic great DVD and enjoying the CD whilst driving around southern england!!

Yep, spotted myself, won't say where.

Here's a bit they missed out on. One of my fav moments of the concerts.

I wonder what those early Enz songs must mean to Neil, and what it must mean to him to perform them. They were part of his musically formative youth, as the starry eyed younger brother, from watching Tim and Phil strum away on the porch, to defending their legitimacy from the audience, as he admired their colourful and theatrical stage performances.

Thanks for the link Smiler

I know the BAG dvd previously spent two weeks on the NZ DVD Top 10 chart but it wouldn't surprise me if it re-enters the NZ charts again this coming week. The copies we had at the shows all sold out (as did Luton and Spellbound) always nice when you see people carrying Enz music (and dvds) home. I spotted a nice Enz display at JB Auckland at the front door of the shop...and Real Groovy's window display for the show was cool too.

I am in there too.... somewhere. Wink

I have a question though, but it has probably been asked before. What happened to Better The Devil You Know? It is neither on the DVD nor the CD. I'd really like to know, because during that tour the song became very special to me. I'd love to hear or see it again, and I mean that tour version. Any chance of it appearing on a Club DVD or CD?

Neil wasn't happy with the version(s) in Melbourne, so they didn't go on. Tis a pity, because as many are now discovering it is a beautiful song, especially live. Hopefully we'll get lucky with the NZ shows.

Just picked up the DVD, haven't had a chance to watch the whole thing yet. A comment on the packaging: I am amused that the local censors have seen fit to slap a "Mature Audiences" label on the cover with a warning about "offensive language". Did someone swear during the concert? The band biography in the accompanying booklet is almost identical to the Tour Programme and it's peppered with the same irritating errors ... such as the band changing its name from Split Ends to Split Enz at the time of the New Faces TV show in 1973 (nope, it was well afterwards), and some wild chart statistics (I don't think Mental Notes was Top 20 in Australia, wishful thinking perhaps). Confused

I didn't know that, MK, thanks for that! I seem to remember that he made a few mistakes with the lyrics at first, but I could be wrong. But I really wouldn´t have minded! Frowner Ah well, if Neil isn´t happy with it, there´s nothing we can do about it. Fingers crossed about the NZ shows then!
