A challenge I had considered a few years ago but I think I'll leave that task to someone else Smiler . The band probably wouldn't be into it right now either. Too many new things going on to want to look back at the past. And tricky to do well without Paul.

Apart from the great value to have something like 480 mins of Enz history to listen to, I'd like to hail the sound work done here. Listen to the key&bpm proof segues in the first episode or the way that the "creation of the I Got You intro" quote by David Tickle having been edited to match the (extended) intro of the finished song playing underneath exactly. Good job!

I've been listening to these off and on in my car on my way to school and work, and I'm enjoying them quite a bit. Episode One was a blast to listen to--just loads of fun to hear. I'd like to hear some more of that early Finn/Chunn session that "Take It Green" came from, is there a legit release available or planned?

There were two sessions with the Chunns and Tim Finn at Stebbing Studios, firstly in 1969 and again in 1970. Six or seven songs in total. There has been no commercial release of the songs aside from the excerpts in Enzology and there is no release planned as far as I know. I'd love to see a fan club issue of them someday.

You and me both. Along with an album of decent live early stuff, from your wonderful series we know there is enough to make at least one CD if not more. Auckland 1976 anyone?

Yes. Taken from a two-microphone cassette recording.

My current Enz fantasy involves a digital movie camera and a time machine set to 1974-1975. Big Grin I really like those early TV clips, but it would be nice to have footage of the real thing.

Nice. For my money, the magic period to capture would be 1978-1979...

OK...shudder, but I was never a bit Enz fan. I was about 3 when they formed. After this wonderful show though I have been checking out the music and I am falling in love!! What a great show. The production was terrific. Fabulous interviews, just wonderful. I am now buying up the CD's like crazy. Thanks for the great show.

Jaffaman!

I have to say, I've listened to Enzology about three times now and it is epicly wonderful, wonderous, inspiring, intriguing, well researched, well formatted, well handled, well edited, well recorded . . . it's just a delight from start to finish. Having just picked up the remasters on the box set when I was in Oz, I wanted to put all the albums in context again, so I returned once again to Enzology.

It's so awesome!

Congrats,

Shakespeare

now that my long runs are once again becoming a decent length, have been replaying these.

they really do hold up well. plenty of great stuff in each one. i find it funny how much i enjoy the conflicting emotions episode given that's on the bottom of my album list.

neil and tim are their usual interesting selves - with their usual good way with words. but i really find the comments from nigel and, in particular, nathan to be really interesting. i think their take on the break up to be the most additive to anything i'd ever read before.
great stuff!
