We thought FrenzCom twitter should also be an area for some fun, so we have asked some of the Enz boys (and mates from yesteryear) to send to Frenz com their (current) favourite 5 Enz tunes.
Within the hour we have heard from Nigel Griggs, Wally Wilkinson, Tim Finn, Michael Barker and even our gloriouys leader from the seventies and eighties- manager Nathan Brenner. I expect more will send in over the next 24 hours. Anyway we will endeavour to send out one TWEET a day with the persons Top 5 Enz songs. It's a bit of fun but also kind of interesting to see what they are into in 2009. First Enz off the rank is bassist Nigel Griggs and a Nigel Top 5 tweet went out tonight to those who have signed up already. You DON'T have to be a club member to use Frenz Com Twitter. It's easy to sign up, here are the instructions from Deb: They can go to http://twitter.com/frenzdotcom and choose FOLLOW. They need a Twitter account. Thanks Deb for adding this and it's nice to have some band members supporting Frenz com with these short bursts of good taste! Gryph |

Well didn't that post make me go sign up. Good job Gryph, always got those wheels turning.
Interesting, looking forward to what the others like. Great to see 129, Make Sense of it and Missing Person. Surprising indeed. Should bring up some debates on fav songs again and most disliked songs on the forum. Bit more fun to look in on. ____________________ people hear what they see |

Just an FYI about twitter - you don't actually need to have a twitter account, unless you absolutely must receive tweets immediately. You can get the tweets via RSS without a twitter account. I'd been doing this for awhile with someone else's tweets I'd been following. I did sign up for an account when frenz started tweeting regularly, but didn't want to receive tweets via my cell phone, so I set my account to be notified of tweets of people I follow via email. The email notifications never showed up, but I was still getting the RSS notifications of the two people I was following. You get the RSS notifications within 24 hours. If getting this information within 24 hours is good enough for you, you don't need an account. In fact, I deleted my twitter account, because I have no intentions of 'tweeting' myself, and it's one more internet annoyance I just don't need. Just FYI for anyone who may not want to establish an account with twitter.
At any rate, thanks to Peter for tweeting. ---------------------------------------------- Joyce |

could be handy though having that direct access especially around things like like gig ticket links (one went out this morning for Neils 7 Worlds II UK show). On general bursts of info you are right 24 hours would be fine- but every so often some things we send out may relate to on sale now gigs etc. Up to the individual but a good point brownie. Gryph |

For my twitters just more work in many ways *GRIN* but hey short burst are fine and the Enz song listing thing is a bit of fun that probably wouldn't of happened without twitter... I'm happy to run with it- if it benefits people.

Steer clear of it I'm not mad-keen on Facebook so I don't use it much. But anything that is handy for bits and pieces of information around the guys is something I'll access and look at. Twitter is new to me, but its a fun read. Appreciate the effort of getting the guys to provide us with little snippets about themselves that they're willing to share Gryph. I read the Enz favourite Enz songs, and think "yes, I'd have picked that he'd like that one", or "oh, he would like that one?". Your next mission, if you're willing to accept it Gryph, is to get the guys to give a brief summary of why they chose the songs they did. Texas Rose |

Texas Rose thankfully i can say that with such small bursts for twitter their reasons wouldn't fit so i can escape doing that. *GRIN*
I did find twitter incredibly handy/interesting when one of the last state elections were on- information was way ahead of tv broadcast, and the Internet overall including the official website..... but it's not something I'll be doing- I honestly don't care what Demmi Moore is up to *GRIN* or that silly toy boy! People always have a choice do or don't or try it and see. To each their own. The numbers have jumped though from below 100 two weeks ago to about 450 already. Gryph |

Houdini I'm just grateful that you'll take the time, and the guys will give the time, to provide fans with a bit more insight. And twitter is the perfect vehicle for that IMO. So far my twitter experience is restricted to Frenz. Apart from not knowing how to get onto all the other interesting and juicy stuff (such as Demi and her silly toy boy - love it I'll stick to the Enz info, and that means Twitter will work for me. Actually, I think the internet is evil but I'm addicted so it would be a case of do as I say not as I do.
However, it would be good to find out what the guys consider to be their own best work. Can somebody post some of the results here so I don't have to gouge my eyes out? _______________________ Bar the whoo-bar! |

Cheer 'em up, Gryph. I'm sure the thought of flying so many miles is taxing on the psyche, but there are many Frenz waiting for Neil at Largo and Dingwalls to give him just dessert: complete adoration. Fun tweets; have enjoyed the varied selections. And tears will fall and oceans will rise I feel the fear and I know I'm alive |

Of all Ed's favourite Enz songs, I've only heard of one of them.
I know of Outer Mongolia. Gryph, did the other songs morph into something else? Or are there recordings that we haven't heard yet? Texas Rose |

oddly enough I expected Nige would send in a list of rarities...but it was Ed who did.
Recordings that vary in quality, , some rough demos, some studio demos.... so the answer is yes but they vary by degree's in quality. and I warned Ed people would now email me *GRIN* Gryph |

Yes there are recordings we haven't heard yet?
Ed should be punished for causing you an avalanche of emails Gryph. Texas Rose |
