I have found the lyrics for all the songs on Spellbound on various web sites, but I can't find Semi-Detached anywhere. Can anyone help me?

I think it highly appropriate that I assist you!
SEMI-DETACHED Written by Tim Finn in England, 1978 I wanna leave here I wanna get to hell away My body's frozen And in my head the pain is here to stay Panic seems too close for comfort, save me I gotta get going Before I cause an accident A wind is blowing The summer's gone And I can't pay the rent Debt collectors, slap-dash noisy children CHORUS Who's gonna be there when the going gets rough? Ooh I wonder We're semi-detached and we'll burn like matchsticks We'll be wonderful, oh I want a fire, I want a brimstone baptism Got no illusion, friction or fusion Time has come In my garden cats entreat me "Spare us" And as for people They're semi-detached, aren't they? So I can't be sure I think I heard a neighbour say, "He'll amount to nothing, he's pathetic" [REPEAT CHORUS TWICE] [AWESOME ELECTRIC GUITAR SOLO WITH VOCAL AD-LIBS] Who's gonna be there when the going gets rough? Ooh I wonder Semi-detached and we'll burn like matchsticks We'll be wonderful, oh Oh oh oh oh oh oh Mmm mmm mmmmmmmmmmmmm This message has been edited. Last edited by: Semi-Detached, |

No problemo, Mag!
Hey DG...you might struggle with accurate lyrics for the likes of 'Message Boy', 'Hypnotised' and 'Next Exit' (after all they are raw demos and some words are hard to interpret), but the rest are easily available online. |

That's What I Call Love |
Despite what the lyric sheet says on Enzso 2, I'd bet my bottom dollar that the line is,
"Though I can't be sure, I think I heard a neighbour say..." I heard a live track bootleg tape from God knows when and God knows where. On it, Tim sings "can't" with the Aust/English accent (carnt) instead of the American accent on the record (caant). Makes much more sense. |

The lyric sheet for the Canadian Frenzy LP has "So I can't be sure."

Aah yes John, but said lyric sheet also has "I wanna get the hell away", when Tim's original clearly says "to".
