I rarely post about Ebay and Trade me website stuff, BUT Mike Chunn's wonderful STRANGER THAN FICTION book is such a beauty and so hard to find, so I spotted TWO on the Trade Me website out of NZ for any Enz fan desperate for a copy.....

Hope it helps someone

That is a wonderful book! My copy was STOLEN by an ex-girlfriend, actually technically it was her copy.

A first-rate story, and Chunn really does it justice. Obviously he witnessed the birth and development of the Enz first-hand! But what's interesting is that he was able to do such a great job of telling the story of the post-Chunn era of Split Enz, too.

You will enjoy it!

All I have is a binder with color laser printed scans of each page that I downloaded off of some website that said it had the author's permission to post the entire book.

The book looks like quite the tome when printed entirely single-side 8 x 11 paper.

Is there no way that FOTE can print another edition of this book ?
Would surely sell more than most books FOTE put out for sale.

Mike Chunn seems a fairly laid back guy, and would likely support it being released, and that would save many people from having to pay through the nose for a used copy, often via greedy Ebay types.

When it first came out in 1992, it only cost me $25NZD, that's was roughly $14USD.... and now idiots are charging upwards of $50USD online, makes me sick.
It's not even got a hard cover for Christ's sake !

A few years back FOTE did sell a hidden stash that turned up somewhere. I believe former manager Nathan Brenner holds the copyright to the book.

I think that those books the club got hold of were the early 1980's "Book Enz - A Split Enz Book" ,and not the Mike Chunn penned "Stranger Than Fiction" .
Nathan Brenner would have most likely published "Book Enz" himself, as he had set up a publishing company for the Enz after the success of True Colours, or something like that.
