"SOUNDTRACK TO MY LIFE"

ITV1 at 11.10pm features CH. Unfortunately, not all ITV franchises are showing this, so its up to those in London and the Southeast to "do the honours"...

- looks like over here in Halstead, we've got 'Coastal Kitchen'!

Anyone know whether it is possible to get ITV London via SKY, i.e. as with BBC regional programming?

OR

Is it likely to be rescheduled on ITV2/3/4?

OR available via the 'watch again' online facility?

to answer my own question, certainly on my Sky TV guide, so I assume its the same country-wide,
ITV London is available on Sky channel 993.

this is what the online ITV guide says :-

Crowded House

The members of New Zealand band Crowded House join Cat Deeley to discuss their careers and plans for the future.

- I suppose not impossible that the TV cameras (albeit with CH4 logos on) seen at the Wembley gig last December were filming for this programme?

no sign of it on any itv channels outside of london, hopefully it will be on the website after it airs, otherwise us sky-less mere mortals are left to rely on someone uploading it onto youtube!

Must go and set the DVD recorder now. Fingers crossed that it works!

very much enjoyed the programme but...... i didn't know crowded house were a two piece band.apart from the fact that it was just neil and nick that were interviewed, mark and matt didn't even warant a mention.i'm especially disapointed for mark, who has such an important history with the band.tim recieved a mention when for me mark hart is a far more important part of the crowded house story.

i could start again - you can depend on it

I agree with stuartjb that it was a pity that there was no mention at all of either Mark or Matt and their valuable contribution to the band. It was only a half hour show with Neil & Nick talking to Cat Deeley who started the questions right at the beginning with where they were born, about Split Enz & then going through album by album of Crowded House. So perhaps they had to cut some later conversation. Quite a lot about Paul and interesting to hear more about Neil's OBE. It was interspersed with prerecorded live performances of Don't Dream It's Over, Weather With You, Private Universe, Heaven That I'm Making and Throw Your Arms Around Me.

I have to say I was a little disappointed with some aspects of the interview. It was obviously recorded some time ago, before the UK tour this year. I'd been hoping for a few hints about the next album, but it was too long ago for anything like that! I thought Cat Deeley's questions weren't very well thought out, and she came across as a bit of an air-head. Neil is such an articulate guy, it would be great to see him intelligently interviewed (not to say that Cat Deeley isn't intelligent, but I think she could have done better).

Interesting to hear some old fashioned monarchist leanings from Neil when he talked about the OBE vs NZ's newer honours system. Also amusing to hear stories of Paul taking his clothes off on stage!

The thing that really disappointed me is that ITV took an ad break in the middle of Private Universe! Then they played the end of the song after the ads! For heaven's sake, they could have structured that better. Then again, that's ITV for you.

I enjoyed Throw Your Arms Around Me, I think they did that one really well. In some of the other songs I thought Neil sounded a little tired - maybe they'd been performing a lot at the time.

I'm glad I saw it, but would like to see an uncut version.

Can I have another piece of chocolate cake?

Yes, sorry my sister got it wrong.

And my DVD recorder failed to record, so I never got to see it. Is it up on You Tube yet?

To be honest, apart from missing Mark and Matt I thought her interview was fine. If a viewer knew nothing about the band, then it was good enough as an introduction. The Private Universe mid-song thing was bizarre though.
