So its getting nearer the time and I guess now is the time to be planning our Pre show meet up? I intend to go and see the fabulous Crowded Out boys doing their unplugged thing around noon. Saw them in Brierley Hill and they were great. They will be in the 'Basement Bar' at the Pontefract Castle (pub I guess) which I believe is near by Hyde Park. Perhaps someone else has the details and can post them up? It holds up to a hundred people so Im told and does food. Anyone else gonna be there?

Cheers for posting that Coogee. There are still some folk who don't know 'bout this.
Here's some info & directions:
12 Noon lunchtime 'unplugged' gig with Andy, Tim & Mark in the cool and spacious basement bar at The Pontefract Castle pub (tel 02074 864941) just 10 mins walk from Marble Arch/Hyde Park. Great place to rendezvous/meet up for pre-Hyde Park Concert lunch/drinks and some tunes for an hour or so. Free in. U-18's must be accompanied by an adult. 'Hyde Park Calling' gates open at 2pm.
Directions to The Pontefract Castle - From Bond Street station cross the road and turn left, going west up Oxford Street. Just past the first set of traffic lights you come to, there is a signpost which points to a very narrow alleyway - St. Christopher's Place. Follow this and go up the alley until you come to Wigmore Street at the opposite end. The pub is on the corner on your left.
Nearest stations: Bond Street Station (190m) - zone 1 Oxford Circus Station (580m) - zone 1 Marble Arch Station (620m) - zone 1

See ya all there!
Andy

Well me and my lovely wife will be there, babysitters permitting. We went to a meet up before the Neil Finn Show at The Palace Theatre once and met Jen and lots of Frenz. It was great. So I'd recomend to everyone to get accross to The Pontefract Castle. We'll probably arrrive around 1pmish.

Can we put in requests?? I'd love to here 'Hole in the Ice' done by Crowded Out. That should have been a CH track!

See you Saturday

Just a quick word of thanks to Crowded Out for such a chilled out start of the festivities. They should have been on the main stage at Hyde Park.

We stumbled into the Pontefract at about 1.30pm to see the last few songs of Crowded Out. There was a great atmosphere. We bumped into the 'Mean to Me' man (you'll know what I mean if you were there) later at Hyde park and we had a few fun shouts of 'Mean to Me' to amuse ourselves. Sorry I think you had to be there but it was quite amusing.

Thanks once again to Crowded Out. You were great. If Crowded Out are in your area, go see.

Any chance of seeing the photo's that were taken?

Hi Awamutu. Sorry you missed it. But glad you got a good Hyde Park spot! Setlist was (roughly!) as follows:

DISTANT SUN
LOCKED OUT
FOUR SEASONS
DON'T STOP NOW
BLACK & WHITE BOY
FALL AT YOUR FEET
SHE GOES ON
FAME IS
WEATHER WITH YOU
PRIVATE UNIVERSE
NAILS IN MY FEET
BETTER BE HOME SOON
IT'S ONLY NATURAL
THROW YOUR ARMS
I GOT YOU
DON'T DREAM
THERE GOES GOD (request)
MEAN TO ME (request)
DON'T STOP NOW (request)
DISTANT SUN (request)

Andy
