The press release for the festival says Crowded House's new album will be out "just in time" for their March 28 performance. I'd been hoping for sooner, but I'll settle for the certainty of a March release -- it beats the agony of wondering whether the album will be postponed yet further!

Neil talks a little bit about the album in the interview in the upcoming newsletter, he was still tweeking it at that time but finally all the pieces are falling into place. I'm just glad it's officially finished as such...

Does that mean that it's 'done' or does it still need to be 'dubbed'? You see, I'm still thinking of the way they did things in the sixties and after with all the analogue equipment. They had all the potential 'master tapes' and some (or all) were awaiting overdubs. I wouldn't really know because I'm not a musician (That's not to say I don't have it in me.  ) ._______________________ Bar the whoo-bar! |

It basically means the final stereo mixes have been given placed in album sequence with some equalisation and volume adjustments made to each song in order to get an even sound throughout.
In other words, the album's finished and in the can. Unless the band decides it's not. |
