I have watched the CH webcast around 20 times now, and odd times I have picked up something new that one of the band members has said.

I heard the bit when Nick mentioned about the hotel he was part owner of in Buenos Aries, and after a bit of searching, managed to find the website

OT: Wow, that place looks really really nice! Not too shabby eh?

In the Edmonton section (starting at 2:11:42....not that I've watched that part dozens of times or anything ) the dialogue goes:

Neil: "And from Edmonton...ahhhh..."

Someone???: "Edmonton"

Neil: "Shauna from Edmonton's been much neglected for years"

Nick: "I love Edmonton"


Anyway, I just wonder who the mysterious someone in the background is who says "Edmonton" as Neil is reading my email.

Is it too much to hope the DVD will be called EDMONTON??

I heard somewhere that the US/Canadian tour is called "Time on Earth - CH visits Edmonton - and a few other places if we have time". The programme includes pictures of the band hanging out with Shauna at local sightseeing spots.

Neil mentions that one of the new songs (Heaven That I'm Making perhaps?)was originally written for a film about surfing penguins.

I assume he means this.

LOL! Yeah, those tour details sound about right And the surfing penguin movie sounds like a big hit!

BTW, it was the person in the background who says "Edmonton" that I didn't notice until recently. The rest I was already vaguely aware of

If that Surfing Penguin movie is Sony's "Surf's Up" then Crowded House are in for some nice promotion. From what I've seen and heard this will probably be a big movie release and might give the guys some well deserved exposure.
The movie looks pretty good too, though I cant help but compare it to "Happy Feet" (which wasnt my cup of tea)...

Hey, Im not even trying to promote Edmonton anymore, the conversation just keeps going there. I really was just wondering whose voice i heard in the background during the clip that happens to pertain to the place i'm from.

And actually I have been encouraging people to start promoting their own cities. There's at least one person who has already taken my lead.

OH? And where would that be? I must be one of the few who still thinks Edmonton is the only place on Earth.
