Has anyone attended a concert here before? I usually like to be at the front of the stage if possbile and am happy to line up hours before if need be.

Seeing as I am flying in from Australia just for this show....I want to get the best spot (ie close to the front of stage)

Do you know if stalls standing is at the front?

Maybe they're taking the seating out? I'd be surprised if there was seating in front of the standing people (unless that's what the gold and silver seats are about). I'd ring and ask.

Haven't been in the main theatre in the Townhall before... but... if it's anything like The Civic (which is part of The Edge group of venues too) then I'd expect rows AA through BB or AA through DD to be removable. Though, I'm going to be checking to see where the gold reserves are anyway...

This is sort of backed up by the seating chart for the Townhall on the page which had the link in the VIP e-mail (it's a different seating chart than the one on the main Townhall page as it's in colour...not sure if the seating arrangements are different though...). As AA-BB are marked as "Small extension" and AA-DD marked as "Large extension", which would seem to suggest to me that they might be removable.

It would make sense if they are, the guys seem to like having people up front of the stage.

I got my ticket!!! YAY.

The "buy now" link came up late (about 10past) while I was on the phone to the box office asking questions.
After a bit of searching the lady said the whole of the downstairs would be standing and general addmission. I hope she was correct, because that is what I ended up getting. Hope to meet up wih lots of frenz before the show.
(I will be the exhaused one, as I have to work on the Wednesday and my plane gets into Auckland at 11.55pm) Still....it will be a "great type" of tiredness and well worth it to see Neil again!

yeah as we have said in the past sometimes they can be up to 10 minutes late depending on what else is on sale etc. Links works fine just checked.
