What a interesting read. I remember when that happened and was saddened to hear about the loss of John O'Shannessy. I actually remember seeing search and rescue attempts from underneath the Worker's Club recently but for the life of me I can't remember which TV show it was on. It certainly looks as if a greater power was looking after the bands and road crews that day. Thank God the earthquake struck when it did and not 12 hours later. ______________________ "Everyone loved you, yes, everyone....." |

I agree with your sentiment ash1296, I can't even begin to imagine what it would have been like if it was 12 hours later. Scary thought, that.
