Just click on the show of the 4th october. It starts at 2.30. It will be archived just for some days, so maybe someone can put it on youtube or something like that.

Hi Exiled in Linz! The Arena surprised me a bit as choice of location, since I would expect a rougher kind of music or something alternative to be played there.
It is a rather infamous venue, in the late seventies it was occupied for a few months by artists, intellectuals, unemployed and students, who protested against the Arena being torn down. They wanted it to stay a culture centre instead of the planned construction of a commercial building.
Well, the cliché Viennese is said to be a bit on the morbid side anyway, so I think a slaughterhouse as concert location is just fitting, but it´s not a nice / comforting thought.
Anyway, I liked the graffiti on the outside and the plainness on the inside of the building, it makes you concentrate more on the music and the people around you instead of distracting your attention.

Benedikt, my compliments to finding the “szene” report online. I`m afraid I have no idea how to cut it and transfer it to youtube.
I`ve seen that report on TV and it just confirmed my own experiences with my fellow Austrians awareness level of Crowded House. Since their name is hardly ever mentioned on radio or in any other media, few know them by name. It all comes down to PR, I guess. Then again, isn`t it cooler to be an insider tip, instead of being almost forced upon people, till they are sick of it, as it is the case with some other bands?

I`m sure it was the same camera man – they showed only an early part of the show in their report.

Andi B, I liked your spirits, life has to be enjoyed thoroughly! I only felt somewhat stupid when scarcely anyone managed the “to the world, to the world, to the world” part. On the other side not joining in the singing would hardly be a good option, IMO. Then I prefer to be a bit silly. I only wished for some water at times, but then wriggling through the crowd to the bar and back again seemed too much trouble.

I had been considering going to the Hyde Park Show myself, it must have been a blast.

Benedikt, great work finding the Austrian TV report!

It's well worth watching even if your German isn't up to much. Click on the 4th of October link and move forward to 2 minutes 25 seconds. The first part of the programme is about a model photoshoot and has scenes that wouldn't get past the watershed in the UK Eeker Best to skip it ...

There are a few interviews in English (Neil,a fan from NZ) which are subtitled so no German knowledge is required. As mentioned by the other posters, it's a pretty fair report and there is a brief clip from the show.

Watch it before it's taken down!

On that site one can find some pretty nice pictures of the concert and the band. Once you have registered (for free), you can see them in large in quite a good quality.
