Seriously now... I've had restricted view at other venues and it hasn't been a problem, it usually involves something like a fixed pillar (Cambridge theatre). Position of speakers ( can't remember where, but didn't affect me) and at NEC a side view (this was for a Bowie show and turned out to one of the best seats I've ever had).

Yes, the way the guy on the phone explained it, they have to state that it's restricted because some people will think it is ~ he said I may wonder what they were talking about! I guess people are just too quick to complain about anything these days so they cover all bases! He said I might get a sore neck....um, more likely to be a sore throat, I'm thinking Big Grin

I sent an email to seetickets about 10am (Australia time)and asked what this 10th of June was about, if there WAS a concert at all but no tix on sale yet or if the date itself was a typo(no concert for The Crowdies on that date at that venue at all), I have not had a reply but I notice that the 10th June has been removed from the site

yeah right, you 'see' tickets but they don't actually exsist Mad sorry folks, thought I had found new info which is why I posted it

so happy to get tickets for the newcastle and edinburgh shows, particularly my home town of newcastle.

i remember when we met the fellas after a show in edmonton in september 2007 i mentioned to nick that we were disappointed that newcastle wasn't on the UK tour later that year. he informed me that the mayor of newcastle had banned the band from ever returning there.

how fortunate then that the mayor of newcastle should perish late last year in a bizarre sun bed / nose hair trimming tragedy.

We got tickets right at the end of about row J at Oxford when I last went and I see they mark them as restricted view - don't worry they were fine. No pillars or anything.

The whole theatre is not that big so you get a good view where ever.

I could not believe it at 8.58 in the presale I got Row A - that has never ever happened to me before. I think I must surely have dreamt it!!!

See you all there!

Congratulations SarahJ, and welcome. Smiler

If anyone has missed out on tix, as much as it sticks in the throat to resort to Ebay, it may be worth keeping an eye on Ebay closer to the concert dates, because anyone with tickets (genuine or scalper) is going to want to offload and you may get your chance there.

You don't have to buy. Only do so if you're comfortable with what you're paying, and what you're getting.

I remember when Finn Brothers came to Melbourne in 2004. I had missed out on good tickets (don't know how Eeker) so I decided I had better resort to Ebay.

Two seats in Row C came up and I decided I would bid on them - even though I only needed one.

There was someone else bidding against me, and the bidding was fierce, but I really wanted to go. I bid up to $400 ( Eeker - in the spirit of the thing - I'd never get that carried away again), then when my bid was topped, I realised I had to let it go.

So I went to Ticketec and ended up buying one seat on the far ailse about 7 or 8 rows back - for $79.90.

The funny thing was I did not sit in that seat once during that concert. Myself and two other fans decided we'd stand down in front on the stage until we were asked to leave. No one asked us to leave. Big Grin We behaved ourselves, and thoroughly enjoyed the night, and at one stage Neil came right over to us and was looking down into the area where we were.

So my $79.90 ticket ended up being worth far more than the $400.00 tickets that I missed out on.

That wouldn't happen at every concert. All I'm saying is don't give up until you hit the brick wall at the end of the road. There may be twists and turns in the road that you won't see until you're upon them, and you never know where they'll take you Smiler

On the subject of eBay and ticket sales (this may be worth a new thread but this is where all things UK-tour are for now)...

I have a single seat ticket for sale for Newcastle, front row of the side balcony, about halfway down, on an aisle. Open to any offers around face value? There is a brass rail at the bottom of the stairs, which isn't ideal but doesn't really obscure the view, and in the spirit of not using the seats anyway...!

Has anyone actually tried to get tickets for the SECOND Brum show? The venue's own site still isn't listing it even though tix apparently went on sale this morning.

Alright, Crowdies fans in the state of Florida. With the talk of some fans in the UK having to travel, when was the last time any sort of Finn-related show made it in-state there? How about prior to then?

In terms of population, you're probably about as deserving as anyone in states not usually getting a show to have some luck. Depending upon where you are, Atlanta (or New Orleans) can be a pretty far ways off should it manage to receive a show . . .

European fans note the updated Belgium pre sale link is now on the Forum. The booking agency apologizes for the mistake.
