Wow, everyone looks really young in those photos. Mark looks all of 35, and he's in his 50s, isn't he?

Mark is 54, actually. His birthday is July 2, 1953.

Hi there, I was one of the ladies with Battylad. It was so lovely to read your account of the day, and to hear prior to the gig that you had been successful in your quest to meet the guys (love your photos!!). I did wonder when I saw your Ray Davies t-shirt if there was an ulterior motive and it's so nice to hear that your "plan" worked Smiler

I second what Batty said in that it was one of my most favourite atmospheres of all the Finn gigs I've ever been to, and I'd certainly not think twice about going over to see them again in Barcelona. In fact I can't wait to go back anyway, it's such a lovely place and we weren't there anywhere near long enough to see everything.

I think Spain is a tremendous country, so can only hope to get to Madrid and Barcelona should the band return. I can rate Madrid quite high, having visited on several occasions, but haven't yet made it to Barcelona. Finn concerts are always a good excuse to get out and travel to places both known and unknown. Wink

Excellent news to hear about how well the band was received!

Ascha, very good review too, what Nick said was something like "I can't control my dancing feet", but instead of "bailons", which would be the correct word, he said "bailongos".

Battylad and Valb, very nice to see you again, I'm glad you had such a great time.

And to all the rest, thank you very much for your kind words! You're a very cool bunch of people. And you say that about my English because you haven't heard me... Wink

Here are the only decent pictures of the ones I took:

If you want some professional ones, I found this link in which there are a lot. Most are very good.

Excellent show.

Sound was not very good sometimes, too much treble

Very hot place, the biggest sauna concert hall in Europe

no puc parar de moure els meus peus bailongos, Nick said that in catalan, meaning "I cant' stop movin my dancin' feet", then Neil started what seemed an improvisation

After Distant sun (burned down the house!) they left the stage, the crowd started singing a typical football chant like oe oe oe oe oe, Neil joined them (us) with keyboards making a very funny moment

I will write something more tomorrow, and try to upload a couple of pics I took with my phone

People faces after the show reflected pure happines

Hi Imaginary Man, thanks for the review! I remember you, you were right in front of me... Big Grin

It was a great gig, except for the sound during some of the songs, but the atmosphere and enthousiasm of everyone in the room and on stage made up for that! It was pretty hot and steamy, but the security guys (who were in the way of my camera most of the time Wink ) handed out some water, which kept us all going.

I kept shouting for Transit Lounge (my voice was gone the next day...), but no luck this time. Will try at the next gig, realy curious how that song sounds live!

Then after the show we (with Mystify and bf *waves*) waited for the guys to appear. I had a postcard I wanted Neil to sign for my colleagues, they keep laughing at me for going on tour with the Finns or CH every couple of years Big Grin I had it signed, but I was almost sqaushed by a couple of over-heated Spanish fans who wanted to take some pictures... Wink Neil was almost run over, even though there was some railings in between him and the fans Eeker I've never seen anything like that... , not even at a Jamie Cullum gig Wink
But everithing calmed down again once Neil got on the bus, and there was some time to have my picture taken with Matt (cute Big Grin ), I thanked him for the great gig and said See you in Stockholm!

Ha! So, one down, four more shows to go! Roll on Stockholm Big Grin

*will try and post some pictures this weekend, got a couple of pretty nice ones I'd like to share Smiler *

Hey Piglet, I remember you too! I heard you shouting Transit Lounge, and I thought it was very cool that somebody requested a song from the new album, not something too common. It would have been cool to hear it, all the songs from TOE worked very well live. Probably my favourite was Walked Her Way Down, I'm very happy they played it and it's been in my head since then.

BTW, I'd really like to see your pictures!
