How on earth did you manage that??? Every time I've looked on their website I've only found the first gig listed. Nothing at all for the second one...

The 2nd show is definately on the Symphony Hall website although there is a Billy Ocean date inbetween the 2 Crowded House gigs. Try "What's on" click rock and pop and it's on the 2nd page. Hope this helps, I just checked it a few minutes ago and there were a few tickets still available in row A and B left side of stalls.

The second Manchester will not be announced till tomorrow. Honestly not sure why a few tickets crept out- but it's Friday at 9.00 for 2nd show on the 27th.

Thank you Gryph and Dutchgirl.

I hadn't heard of Eventim before, but threw caution to the wind and managed to get row B centre for Manchester 27th (Neil's birthday).

Consequently you now have one over the moon Scouser Smiler Smiler Smiler

I would love to go to his birthday concert, that would be amazing! The audience should sing Happy Birthday to him.

I've been trying and trying to work out the logistics- it's a risk since it's in exam week, and I don't know when exams are yet, so I might have one Wednesday afternoon, or Thursday morning, which would be tight. Trains from Sheffield to Manchester don't run past around 10:30pm which is too early.

Is anyone going in a Sheffield direction at all? I so want to go but it's looking impossible. I feel that if Neil's coming all the way around the world to the UK, and give a concert on his birthday, the least I can do is hop across the pennines!

Mind you I wonder if he'll tour New Zealand while I'm there (gap year August 2010-2011), that would be pretty amazing. But I'm scared I'll miss all the concerts =S

I hope so.

Without knowing anything about what's gone on, it seems to me as if the whole promo train has gone spectacularly wrong.

There's no way the band would plan to tour such an important release so far in advance of the album release the tour is meant to promote.

I know they played a few dates a year or so ago but that was a deliberate one off to keep their hand in before recording the new album. I doubt they intended the latest tour to be "without album".

Yep - the whole timing of the tour seems a bit of a debacle now, coming potentially months ahead of the album release - which is still only 'tentatively' scheduled for June/July. These sort of tours are all about selling albums, generating local interest and airplay. But I guess the whole thing was too locked in to change.
