I do find Neil's enormity in comparison to the rest of the band a bit odd; it just seems atypical. I wonder if the new management have suggested that Neil should be more out front, as he's by far the most recognizable member of the band; it makes sense, I suppose. So this is now the visual embodiment of the "two (or three, as the case may be) dorks and a dictator" bit, eh?

I kind of think that the days of having the actual band on the cover of a CD could be behind us. Not a lot of artists do that these days, except perhaps the young/beautiful/pop types - Rihanna, et al.
I have a feeling the creepy Coraline themed bloody buttons may have something to do with the artwork, but that maybe the Cluedo "Professor Grey, in the music room, with the guitar string" picture may be inside the cover - maybe in the booklet.
The theme has already carried over onto t-shirts on sale at the Enmore and at Bluesfest...

Are we all forgetting that Nick does the cover art? Of course that's not the album cover. But it is a nice Photoshop-tweaked promo shot.

I agree, slowpogo. It's going to be arty and edgy, for sure.

This picture is waaay too normal for a cover for Crowded House, the other picture fits the Intriguer vibe much better.


Matt looks as though he's been out all night!! Nick looks very serious, Mark looks p****d off, and Neil looks like he's relieved to have the album finally finished and can relax now

I agree it si just a promotional photo, can't see Neil's caterpiller thank goodness, hope that's gone by the time he reaches us !!

yeah not Matt's best pic.... Neil's moustache is in full flight, although it's so faint anyway it's always going to be a case of "is it there, or just a shadow/trick of the light?"
